Gods Favor Problem

Just switch to a Europe server?

So, you want America and Taiwan to switch to the European servers which are already notorious for having issues?

Well, I suppose that would force ANET to do something...

From what I can remember was Europe very rarley had Favor and this was a great disapointment for me as I wanted to find out what all the fuss was about. Once we started getting it a lot I found it near on impossible to get teams as everyone was after solo or 2 man farms. This is not what UW is all about IMO, its about high level PvE.
I have since switched to PvP and found that a lot of Americans have switch to the European servers to PvP due to the lag on American servers. Not sure if this is true, but if it is lag has a large impact on PvP where as it dosnt effect PvE that much. This would explain why Europe has suddenly got favor a lot more, not that we have got dramaticly better.
I aggree that it would be nice to have favor all the time but it has been the same since the start with how favor worked. I think it was intended to try and get people playing PvP who normally would just PvE and im sure it has. I would prefer there to be ways of stopping the farming there than to change the favor system, that way people interested in playing the game the way it was meant would be able to do so more easily.
Also, some people may have prophosies only which would make it one of only a few high level areas, but with NF and Factions there is loads. I belive the people complaining about the favor system are people wanting to farm not play high level PvE so for that reason alone I have no pity for you, for those who want high lvl PvE then I do feel slightly sorry for you, but you are a small %.

ok. I'm gonna try this ONE MORE TIME!!!! From what I have read, EVERYONE seems to speak english here. This post was started to SEE WHAT COULD BE DONE!!!! WHO CARES about who has favor now. WHO CARES about who had favor back in 2005. I could give 2 F**KS about who has favor. Why you ask?? Because its "*"*"*PVP*"*"*". When you first create a character you have the option of wether it be Roleplaying or PvP. People choose Roleplaying cause they want to play "*"*"*PVE*"*"*". UW and FOW are for "*"*"*PVE*"*"*" characters. These sections SHOULD NOT be determined wether the other part of the game wins or loses. Try to change it so EVERYONE can be happy. Like for EXAMPLE, who ever has favor GETS IN FREE and who don't still PAYS!!! See how easy it is to come up with an idea? This way here we would ALL be happy. So STOP sittin there and writing out STUPID RETARDED replys about who has favor now and who has favor then, and wether to get over it. And on another note, WHO CARES if europe is a continent. WHO CARES how many countries are in europe. WHO CARES if america is bigger than europe. WHO CARES if someone thinks iraq is in australia. WTF does that HAVE TO DO with trying to make the UW/FOW NOT determined by PVP when its a PVE section. If I would have known there would be a bunch of DUMB S**Ts replying the most ignorant replys I would have typed it out in the very beginning so a CHILD would understand it. I didn't think I would have to SPELL it out. Now for the last time, IDEAS people. IDEAS. For once America and Europe work together on something to make us ALL happy. breathe in....breathe out.....breathe in....breathe out. Any thread turns to discussion. Sometimes it is not the exact answer you want. I have seen threads about dye turn to farming threads. If you really want more information just start reading everything everyone typed. Everyone gave answers and some just put in random opinions of something someone else talked about. If you really want to do something about it, find a group, go into HA, kick some trash. That or just switch over to Euro server and then you have your UW and FoW 60-75% of the time

Well, heres how I reacted to Europe always taking the HoH. I...WENT AND WON THE HALL!! Not only can u get favor from it. There are some GREAT drops from those chests. If you dont kno how to get there, u win RA 5 times in a row, and then win TA 5 times (do not have to be in a row), and u make it to HA, where u win 8 (usually less because of jumps) in a row for the ability to battle in the HoH. Life is great.

It makes no sense to me why PvP should have an effect on PvE. How would the people who do HA feel if they had to wait for a PvE event so that they could do battle. Instead of 1K to enter maybe they should have changing items needed to get in so that you still had earn your way in but independent of any PvP results.

It makes no sense why the OP can't use the search function and find out there's about 10000 other threads about this already. Seriously, we don't need more trash like this.

Move to Europe server, problem solved.

Having everyone switch to a different server isn't going to solve anything. In fact, the only thing I can see happening is even more problems with other players.

yea i think that everyone should have the favor at all time cuz u know im stuck in america bcuz i for some reason thought i had one more switch so i berely get in the UW and fow and i think it is super unfair and i think a-net should make this change maybe a petition?

and also getting in an HA grp without being rank like 8 or so is retarted cuz u wont even win one battle as for me i have 33 fame and only got that much bxuz my friend was bored and he used his heroes and i tagged along but that was b4 the update so now u have to bring pl so i think HA is stupid and it is PVP!!!!!! y should that affect PvE?????? sum1 contact a-net and get this problem solved!!!!!!!!!!

This is the exact reason for me starting this thread. The more people that say something about it, the more chance that it will have a possibility to be changed. And you are right. PvE should not be Affected by PvP. And as far as recent replys, I don't care if this whole forum is nothing about favor. I don't care if there is 500,000 threads about favor. The more there is, and the more people have an idea or something, the more chance there is of getting something done. As far as someone saying something about switching servers, even doin that is limited and once you run out of switches, your screwed and AGAIN, that don't fix the problem. And for any future posting, seeing how everyone has to have an opinion instead of an idea, I am American. But I don't favor neither America or Europe. Both should have equal opportunity. And the messed up thing, one of our motto's that are known from other countries, "We are the land of opportuniy." Take that to the bank.

People seem to be pretty America vs Europe oriented when it comes to having favour. But what about the Asian countries that are getting the short end of the stick right now? They're getting ignored the most. I really think something must be broken if it means a huge portion of the game is basically not accessible to many players.

And the "if you got a problem with it, go play HA" argument is just... stupid. How would PvP people feel like if HA or GvG could only be accessed through some really inane, nearly impossible and annoying PvE portion? It would suck, big time. So why should PvE players have to put up with having tons of content unreachable just because they are not into PvP?

If Anet wants to keep FoW and UW as high-end areas that need some effort to get into, at least make it something attainable through PvE. Even raising the price would be ok. And if they keep it tied to PvP, maybe have it so that the country who holds favour can go there for free, and the countries that don't have favour need to pay a bit of gold for the chance.

Why Dont the guru admins make a tab for Builds also and include ALL good GVG/PVP/PVE Builds that have been proven to work?
It's a hard task but the submiter should include info on the build, like it's purpose and a brief explaination with a screenshot too boot.

TO CYNICAL MODDER: i completely agree with u and im not completely sure if a-net looks at these threads but the more complaints the better chance you say? well can u tell me were i can possible ask them to change it so pvp does not affect pve? ide appreciate a website or sumthing that u went to to complain about it. thnx in advance

TO PERYNNE: thank you i totally agree with u and that is a very very good idea but i still think maybe to go further that maybe everyone has unlimited access to the UW and FoW cuz, yes it is a very large portion of the game and remember when they had that unlimited access weekend there were at least 70 districs or so btw i do like your idea and the asian countrys probly have about 10,000 threads about this problem too

I don't know about most of you, but I like to go to FoW more than UW. Plus this is not an item you can get that easily.

I could care less if Anet keeps it how they have it. Whenever America does not have favor I go and farm something else. There is more to GW than FoW and UW all the time.

One more thing, the reason shards and ectos are rare is cause they are not easy to get. If Anet changed it so you could access UW and FoW from a PvE event or you can just get there by paying 1k to an avatar, then all the prices would drop. Once that happens no one will farm in UW and FoW anymore simply because it is not worth it anymore. HoH is a good way to control economy.

I belive the Hard Mode items are changing this. "Use this tome in the favor towns(ToA, Chantry, and the factions one, its name escapes me ATM) and you are trasnported to either Fissure of Woe or the Underworld."

Yeah you probably buy them from the Merchants in the above mentioned towns.

So seriously... stop whining about this until AFTER the Hard Mode update comes in and we see what they have in store, if they can only be used when you have the favour, then go back to complaining.

Yanman... your replies seem to get more and more pointless. What the hell do the Zaishen Challenges have to do with 'an annoying PvE section'. Try unlocking Hero's Ascent requires you to complete Mallyx the Unyielding at least once...

I'm quite sure that if they changed it so that you could get into FoW/UW more then they would have the common sense to tweak the drop rate to prevent such things.
Also, there was another thread with a post addressing this, so if this is what you're really worried about you should give it a read.
