Gods Favor Problem

I lol'ed,dont we have like 25 country's atm?

its always been an issue, but not one that ever gathers enough momentum to actually change it. in the end, thats just the way FoW/UW access works. end of discussion. not to be harsh, but if you dont like it, too bad. i dont like that i dont have a 1970 Chevy Chevelle SS sitting in my driveway. but i get over it. sry, but any sense of entitlement, especially when concerning a game, just gets no sympathy imo.

would it be nice to access FoW/UW whenever i wanted? sure. but thats not the way it works, so ive gotten over it.

Exactly, it wasn't broken for you guys when you had the favor all the time. So why is it broken all of a sudden?

and it makes perfectly sense. Its a realm of a god, the god will only let you in his realm if your in his favor.

To be fair for months upon months upon months Europe didn't ever have favor. it was always America... SO I really don't feel bad either way.

Like the man said, if America wants favor all they got to do is show up to play HA and they will get it... Its a shear numbers thing... ATM America really does not care for UW anymore as Ecto and Shards are not that big a deal now that GW2 is going to happen and all that Useless farming and hording is moot.

Even when the America had favor you have any idea how many groups went down to UW overall to actually DO something down there, instead of solo farm it? I'm betting its less then 1/2 of 1%. So I just don't find it in myself to care now. HA the way it was was fun, now, its just stupid... So says practically anyone that ever played it in the classic days IE when it was TOMBS!

Ever since the battle isle came about its been down hill. With all time low at the reduction to 6 and the new HoH rules... Its just not the game I purchased anymore... So I moved on to other more interesting things in PvE instead.

Win halls 4 times, switch ur account to Europe, wait for Anet to do something about it. I gave you three options, pick 1.

Yep back in 05 America held favor and Europe had it for about an hour at a time. Now that we hold favor more it is broken all of a sudden......


Europe has alot of people with no lives!!!!! its not that the different countrys in Europe have different times its just that our whole 6 countries have people with no lives!

If its true that europe has more players, then thats an interesting one. Considering the fact that America is A) Larger than europe, B) has a significant population, somewhat comparable to europe, C) Invented the internet in the first place, D) gets PC hardware and software SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than europe does, and E) is always the favoured time zone by Anet for releasing weekend events.

Oh im complaining? sorry. ill stop. After all, i do have favor. ^_^

To all the pvp haters I'd say go try it and broaden your horizon's a bit, I was pure avid pve no pvp till about a month ago and started then a bit there. At first I thought it was frustrating but once you learn to understand it it gets very fun, it did for me at least. Now I do a fair share of both, I love my pve chars but I also enjoy just quickly making and deleting pvp chars for what I need, its different, but definately not mutually exclusive. The knowledge I've gained there has also helped me become better in pve besides that.

America is always supposed to be out on top! We should never not have favor! Europe is just a bunch of nerds who never walk away from comp! God this is stupid! PVP+PVE shouldnt be linked with UW+FOW! Why can't America have favor for more than 2 hours?!

*Sarcasm....if you have heard these shouts, rants and/or questions... then we r just beating a dead horse.

I do know this for a fact.

A GW player that won the chance to meet some Anet devs was told that they're looking into ways of changing the favour system. No mention on how yet but I'd expect something on this popping up in the future. I heard this on an episode of GuildCast btw, can't remember the episode I'm afraid. The people that went to Anet provided GC with the info they got and he passed it on.

I never said anything about Iraq or Austrailia. I want Asia to be one territory and they can actually get favor. Also, I want favor to do something other than access. Adding more bonuses to shrines would be better.

Anyway, I'm sort of neutral on the whole thing. Yeah, Europe has favor all the time, but that's because they're doing better, so the European players are rewarded for it. It'd be nice for America to have favor more often, but I really don't see much of a problem with the current system. Though I do agree PvP should never control PvE, but hey, what can ya do.

Just wait a little while, once the GW2 hype starts to get bigger, no one's going to care anymore.

That's not necessarily true. Someone posted a list of PVP players (not individuals, but something like the guilds) and 60-70% of it was composed of Europe*. Even if all American teams were very good the sheer force of numbers would still probably win.

*The list was a while ago, so I don't remember everything that was on it.

Well, that's true too. Obviously numbers are a big part of it, and I'm sure that's part of the problem. I'm not saying the current system shouldn't be changed, but it is what it is. I can't blame ANET for the fact that more European gamers are PvP'ing instead of Americans. But it would be nice if a system were introduced where all territories had an equal chance to unlock certain areas, regardless of the size of the player base belonging to that territory.

The system is stupid. It makes PvP players influence the gaming experience of PvE players. You can't just go 'win hoh'.

I'm not saying this because I'm an american who's pissed off because he can't get into UW. I live in Europe and I never do UW/FoW. The system is just stupid.
In the EU yes. Europe actually has like 50 countries.

We created our guild on Friday for this sole reason :P

Our guild is on the Korean server now and we held halls for four rounds on friday, but were kicked out after losing the fifth. So close, we had koreans whispering us telling us "good try" too, lol
