It says on Wiki that they cannot be salvaged for Materials.

I want to turn this shield into a +45/-2 Stance shield.

If I salvage the shield for the +30 hp shield handle, do I risk destroying it? Or is it indestructible?

You cant salvage it, instead you just replace the current +30hp mod with the +45 while stance. It will dissapear and you will have your mod there... so there is no way to get that +30hp mod out

Yes you can destroy the shield in your attempt to salvage the upgrade.

If you want to change the upgrade safely, your best bet is to bite the bullet and overlay the old one with your +45/-2 stance one.

Alright, I guess it's WTB +45/STANCE upgrade time.

I really wish there was a "Salvage: Weapon" option for times like this. It would give 50% chance of salvaging the mods, but 100% chance of keeping the weapon.

Well there is the wisdom +treasure hunter titles which makes it that you have ( i think ) 95% of keeping the weapon/shield/focus and the normal 100% chance of keeping the mod,its better then what you ask, it just takes longer to get.

It still favours the mod over the weapon - I think it would be better to have a chance of keeping the mod, without any risk to the weapon. For me, the risk to the mod is usually less of a concern.

Plus, I hate titles. I just can't be bothered to pursue them.
