Exploration of the Wilds

I am going for the exploration title and am currently at 97% I am trying to figure out how to explore the lake that is above the Mission outpost Wilds...there is a "vine" bridge but can't find any vine seeds to create the bridge.. I think i need to kill the Shinning blade scout before he uses the only vine seed that I could find....does anyone know if this is true or is there another way to get to the lake area...

You get the vine seed from the two Centaurs that you overhear earlier in the mission, it's part of the bonus.
