I wanted (along with a friend) to create a viable build using Vow of Strength. I think we succeeded.
Here goes:
[skill]Vow of Strength[/skill][skill]Zealous Renewal[/skill][skill]Flail[/skill][skill]Mystic Regeneration[/skill][skill]Vital Boon[/skill][skill]Aura of Thorns[/skill][skill]Signet of Pious Light[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]
Attributes:
Scythe Mastery - 12 + 1 + 3
Earth Prayers - 12 + 1
Mysticism - 3 + 1
Description:
The idea of this build is to be able to deal massive damage constantly, not just in waves such as when you're using attack skills. Of course a big weakness with this build is that it doesn't do large damage to warrior foes. Especially foes using Watch Yourself! can be annyoing, as it negates some of your damage.
Now, concerning Zealous Renewal, I hardly use it, but I haven't found a skill worth replacing it with. Energy-wise, I am doing fine when I'm not using it. Except in areas with heavy e-denial obviously. You could add Armor of Sanctity or other defense in it's place, but I didn't think more defense was needed to this build, plus it can be annoying to keep up that many enchants.
I realize this build is low on mysticism, but surprisingly the 4 pips of energy regeneration is enough for me to keep all enchants up.
Using the build is pretty straight forward, I should say. Cast your enchants, I like to have Vital Boon on top in case of a strip or shatter, as you'll get a health boost that way instead of being useless with no VoS up. Aura of Thorns can be used in many ways. Some like to quickly snare Warriors and/or Assassins with it, however I prefer to run to a balled group of enemies, cast AoT, then remove it with Signet of Pious Light (The Sig can be cast on allies as well, resulting in a 108 point heal ). Now you're standing with all nearby foes crippled for 9 seconds and bleeding for 13 seconds. Sharpen your scythe and go to work.
As for Flail, it was the best choice I could think of, after trying Heket's Rampage and realizing it cost too many attribute points for it to be effective. Imo. Flail can be kept up indefinately even when hitting only 1 foe at a time.
If you're wondering about about damage output, I guess naming a few numbers cannot hurt . You'll be seeing a lot of 100+ hits on caster foes, I think one of the largest crits I've done was 198 to an afflicted ritualist. Obviously less on warriors.
Regarding scythe, I'm using a 15% Enchanted Sundering Scythe with a 20% longer enchants mod. Feel free to try an elemental scythe (just not against rangers) or a vamp scythe.
Feel free to discuss. I'm open to critique.

.Unanimous.
5 pips of health regen, i guess that's ok... but have you been in side torment these days? you'll be seeing lots and lots of conditions which will probably exceed 5 pips tbh, as well as spikes and hits, i see where damage is coming from but from defensive side of things, not brilliant. I know you've got emergancy heal, but that only decreaces the pips. i guess in general it's ok. And for teams of just eles, sins and things, but i think necros could REALLY pummel this build. But for a General VoS build i guess it's a gj, but i would watch my health v. carefully if i were using it.

I can see where you're coming from, but please note that this build is by no means a tank build. I went through factions with it, and have yet to try the torment side of NF with it.
As for the 5 pips of health regn, I don't know where you're getting that from. At 13 Earth prayers, mystic regen gives +4 regen PER enchantment.

now dont take me for a noob, because i've been using mystic regen for AGES but for a second there i took it that mystic regen was mysticism XD soz, but if its not a tank build i guess it duz look gr8, in a supportive role i see where your coming from, it deals big damage and (now that i've noticed) good healing. GJ. soz about the brain fart x]

id take out zealous renewal for rush. always nice to have a cancel stance for flail, plus zealous renewal does nothing.
