We know what is the story of eye of the north but i was wandering what story will gw2 will have.
IN eye of the north we will defeat great destroyer bla bla bla we will help the charrs and the asurans and norns and everyone will be happy. Now what will happen with menzies and the mursaat and dhuum. If the questions about them will not answered in eye of the north they may play a part in gw2.
In gw2 Menzies can be the main villain or a sub villain that is under the command of dhuum or someone else and we may fight mursaat again(if they aren't any of the playable races of gw2) and the seers who knows.
So lets disquss about this
P.S If the moderators or anyone else finds this thread pointless just lock it ok?
oh btw if this has been disqussed b4 lock it again i was to lazy to search

Menzies is fighting against Balthazar with his troops in FoW, and I believe he is Balth's brother as well.
Dhuum was the God of Death before Grenth came and owned him.
I doubt they will be any real threat, as they have never done any acts against humanity, only against the gods(unless you count dhuum's emissaries at the end of NF, but they were only there because of Abaddon, who is now dead.) GW:Eye of the North is already confirmed to have "The Great Destroyer" as the bad guy, who is the enemy of the Great Dwarf. After that, who knows what can happen in 100 years.

Hmmm, seeing as GW 2 is going to be more open-ended, maybe there won't be a set storyline. I recall ANet mentioning that players' choices will affect the game world, so maybe the storyline is forged by players actions? Lets just pray that its not like WOW, in which there is no real storyline and the only purpose is to farm, raid, farm, farm, raid etc.

I think its too early to be guessing storylines. I dont even think Anet have thought of what the storyline is going to be if there is such a thing. Once we complete EotN i'm guessing we may be able to guess things (every time i read the final battle vs Great Destroyer thingy i always feel that something big is going to happen after.....)
One thing is certain - the storyline will probably revolve around the races seeing as they are a big feature.

I'm absolutely certain that ANet has started on the basic framework of the story and will be fleshing it and the lore out over the next two years.
Lore, history and story are just as important to the game as the concept art.

yes i know these things i have ''studied'' everything about gw history and i think they will play an important role in gw2 if anet decides to include em in
abbaddon isnt dead you cant kill a god he is just too weak to do anything
about the great destroyer i have made a post that shows that great
destroyer was abbaddon and great dwarf balthazar but i guess i was wrong but who knows anet is crazy they might revive abby again somehow or we will find his spirt so he is destroyed once and for all
menzies is indeed balthazars half brother we know that

It's currently unknown if the Great Dwarf and Great Destroyer the dwarves know of are real, not-real, or simply the old Gods portrayed in a dwarf-like manner.

Maybe the Stroy of Guild Wars 2 for the first part will have alittle info about what be going on for the races the past hunred years like war and that stuff

Speaking of GW2, does anyone who has the PC Gamer Magazine and read the article, has any idea what the "collosol structure" concept image was portraying. The thing looked huge and really pirked my interest. Unfortunatly I have no idea what it can be, although it looks like it spans over some canyon or rift of some sort.

I think that is the Hall of Monuments^^.

I speculate anet might add more on the realms of the gods.
"These areas are amongst the most challenging in the game, but also offer the greatest experience and rewards. These are the realms available at this time:
The Fissure of Woe, realm of Balthazar
The Underworld, realm of Grenth"
I'd also like to think that anet will build upon the use of The Rift, uncovering more portals. "Lord Odran's Folly" in the Prophecies Handbook tells of portals of the Rift that were found, protected, and concealed by the mage Odran. The lore only points that the portals lead to the Hall of Heroes, but the Rift is also defined in this passage as "nothing can be reached from within it"
"In the middle of the Mists is a spot where time moves neither forward nor back. It is a tear in the fabric of the cosmos, the point of perfect balance btween all forces of the universe. This place is known as the Rift, and there is nothing to which it does not connect, nothing that cannot be reached from inside it. Those who have the know-how to travel across the universe through the Mists must pass through the Rift on their way to all other places. It is the center of all things."
(Gw Prophecies Handbook, pg 70 under the section titled "The Underworld: The Rift")

I remember reading somewhere that the Mists will be used exclusively for PvP in GW2. Can't remember where I read it though.
Xiaxhou of Trinity
"World PvP will allow you to play characters of any level using the skills that you have in your possession at that particular time. It will be on a larger scale than the original Guild Wars PvP with large battles which could take place over a long period with people coming and going. Battles will take place in the Mists."
though I hope that the mists will be used as a passageway from one realm to the next and eventually we'll be able to traverse the universe.

Anet will probably create more realm of the gods in GW2 but usually realm of the gods hold no place in the actual storyline and serve as a simple elite area.
And yeah it sounds like the Mists are an all out battlezone in GW2s time.
