I can't believe this still happens!

I got rewarded with a free movie death at Vizunnah square! Weeks of carefull preparation of heroes and equipment for my Rit are now ruined. I seem to remember having read somewhere that this bug was fixed, but alas. Does this mean legendary survivors don't do most of Factions??

As far as I know this bug has never been fixed - it apparently comes and goes with various patches.
A lot of the time it's due to minions / degen / something like that in the cinematic, but I've heard that that's not always the case.

When I did Vizunah Square with my Survivor, I took all heroes and henchies, and had a guildie enter from the Foreign Quarter at the same time, with only heroes and henchies. We killed off all minions before the final battle, disabled any minion-animating skills, and were sure to skip the cinematic right away.
Neither of us got a death, and we've repeated this with several survivors and never had a problem.

So perhaps it's a matter of luck? :S

Knowing the existence of this bug, I never spend too much time or money on my potential Survivors until /after/ they've done Vizunah Square, just in case.

as far as a I know... the death looks like it happens but does not count against your survivor title...

Can't you just leave when you reach the end movie...? Whenever you err7 during them i think they allow you to proceed so... i guess this'd work too. If not i'm sure someone can test it out in Minister Cho's or GNW with a lvl20.

You dident get the death due to the cutscene, while you were watching the cutscene something that stayed alive, probably minions or degen, kept whacking at you and killed you.

It isn't a bug. You had a minion master in your party, and then the minions attacked you. If this was the case, I hope ANet doesn't change it.

I can't believe people still fall for that bug.

I took my ranger survivor through there just last week, no problems.

Then I helped my friend's necromancer survivor get through there, also no problems.

Nope. In fact they get it via a Factions-specific area and quest reward.

What it means is that Legendary Survivors:

1. Don't play with MM's in their party.

2. Don't watch cutscenes (you can always exit out of the game as soon as the cutscene starts, before you die).

3. Don't care about taking the above two risks and thus take their chances of fubaring their title.
