A Quick Rundown?

Could someone give me a brief description of prominent builds and team types in Heroes' Ascent? I would love to do HA more often, but other than my SF Ele, I don't know where to start.

the sad reality of HA.
unranked players aren't left with the most elaborate teams
My main tip:
Join a HA orientated guild, best decision. A good Ha guild will have nice fame grinds and should get u more involved in the HA scene. The downside is most are rank required so grind your ass off to r3 and onwards.
You say builds? I cant think team builds but i can think Cripple slash wars (conjure nerf noooooooooooooooooooooo) rc/goh monks, sor monks, divert monks, lod/infuse.
tbh builds are really shifty after skill updates, I still see SF spikes, icy veins spike and spiritway backlines. this may be as balanced as HA has been in a long time..

Best thing to do is learn how to play a melee character effectively and call targets, and start your own groups. Joining a pvp guild would help with basic builds and to get more practice. Monk would be good to learn, but at the lower end, people seem to put the blame on monks the most, so if you don't take punishment well, then don't monk :P

imo monking is the easiest way to find a group in HA and get fame.
You just got tomahawked

Do not listen to anything [acc] has to say now if a [Koss] or [RiCE] member comes up to and gives you tips thyen you should start taking notes. That is all.

When i started HA i had 2 PvE characters. An ele and a monk. The ele was my passion but at that time (pre-factions) it was seldom used in HA... and if so it was a support character. So i did the only other thing i was familiar with. I monked. What does this mean to you? Well i have advice naturally. If you want to learn the metagame fast fast fast and eventually be a good player you'll monk on a balanced team, though you'll get fame slow because monking is the hardest job on the team (ive played a lot and monking is the hardest yall) and you'll be inexperienced for a while. There are, however, options now where you can play any mindless fotm with an easy to play character like an SH. You can then get fame faster, not learn a whole lot outside of your small realm of experience and then join an r3+ HA guild. The gulid will then teach you how to play hopefully.
Now i dunno if it was apparent but im biased towards the monk end. Youre a better player if you learn it yourself and arent told. Its the classic give a man a fish teach a man to fish thing.
In case you wanna just take the fish may i recommend:
Elementalist
Melee Characters (hard to play good but easy to play adequately)
Mesmer (if your reflexes are good)
Necromancer
