How do you think if they play RA like TA?
heach
First, I'm a Taiwanese. Sorry for the bad English you will see.
I'm telling a truth. Some Taiwanese players play RA like TA. They just use small tricks, it's easy to know. Because few people in Taiwan's RA, so if there are 4 people, they can synchronize the timer, and press "Enter the arena" the same time.
So, the truth is, sometimes they enter the same round, and 4 of them are friends.
How do you think and how to prevent this?

Does it need to be prevented?
Dj Tano
There has been a discussion about this in another thread and the easiest solution is to have a max of 2 people of the same Guild, Alliance, and Friend List be in a single group in RA.
Yes, it needs to be prevented, as "planned" groups ruin the spirit of RA, putting 4 random players who have to figure out a way to work together durning the fight itself, against 4 players who know exactly what to do and have specific class and builds making them WAY more powerful then the average RA team...

It's just RA.
The ultimate reward (Glad Point) isn't excessivly hard to obtain....nor is a simple win.....and your gonna lose more because of YOUR team, then 4 guildies on the other team.

It's an exploit and needs to be fixed.
There isn't even any need to debate this topic. Organized teams belong into TA, not into RA. Players abusing sync entering are simply bug abusing.

It's things like this that makes me wish titles were never implemented. I want to go into RA to have fun and earn a little faction, but I'm surrounded by title grinders and timer exploiters.

acually i have to agree with this, my guild wanted to do HA and i came into the game after the update that you had to have 5 consecutive victories in RA first and then 5 wins in TA.
Half the time i was at RA Constituded not haveing to worry that an entire guild is on one side however the issue was that members of my own team where so worried that there Glad titles where in jeapordy in a random selection of what all assumed where fresh NOOB is udderly sad needs a fix IMHO

I seen it done many time myself, as well as "timer sync" in mission that use two teams.
I guess the only way to fix this problem in RA would be having more Battles going on at once, or simply make that everytime you hit enter battle. the timer is different - so no two person will be going in at the exact same time.

"Ages ago, before the dawn of titles, legend has it that gamers used to play the game for fun. With the announcment of titles, most of these players began to scatter as if being hit by AOE. The casual gamer began evolving into a title grinding machine, and is now pretty much extinct. However, few of those people remain to this day. Let us preserve this endangered species, and keep the random arenas as intended- in other words- keep them random."
Not everyone cares about title grinding. Some people like myself just like playing the random arenas for fun.
And playing against an organized team in random arenas takes away the "random" part of it, making it less fun.

OK, I see the problem now. And yes, I now agree that something should be done to prevent it (Maybe having it so there are 4 empty spaces to be filled, so if there are already two random people at the RA, even a button spike would mean that two get put with the other two random people, and another two are left waiting?)
Love your avtar, Henchman. That monk looks fit to pwn (Is that a G36C?)

It's no worse that the current epidemic of "no-monk" leavers. Too many people want a TA-quality team in order to play RA. You'd think they'd just go and play in TA. I'd sooner see a penalty (time-out, preferably) imposed upon leavers than on team-syncing. It'd work both ways anyway, so if someone left because they didn't sync, they'd still have to wait x minutes before playing RA again.

I think I will post something at Sardelac Sanitarium.
But I want to say a truth again, some of them are R9 players.
He think what he do is right, cause A.Net didn't stop this.
I feel so frustrated with rank and title systems.
p.s. If I can't post IGN or guild name, please tell me.

If they just give RA a different title track it'll stop people abusing RA to farm glad points. People will still leave and do whatever, but the separation will show where you got the title, so it'll be less appealing to people that just want quick and dirty glads.
Make RA 'Brawler' or something.

Also, actually I have seldom chances to fight with those "fake" RA teams in American district, but I can imagine how angry for those people who get 8 or 9 consecutive wins lose their glad point by fighting with "fake" RA teams.

This has been going on for ages, it's nothing new. There have been many threads on this exact subject.
The problem is that if you lose before 10 wins in RA or TA, you get nothing good. This is what encourages people to get glad points from RA.
Whereas with fame you get points for every time you win, not just for winning 10 in a row.
If they want to discourage sync entering then they should revamp the glad point system so that you get some form of glad points for every win you get. If they did that they could convert all the current glad points people have to the new system. That would give a lot less motivation for sync entering.

Ok, sorry. I removed IGN and guild name. My bad.

One thing with syncing in RA is you're not always going to get in the same team or even the same game. Sometimes the timer will reset for one person or you'll end up on opposite teams. I've been on both sides of syncing in RA (It's always me and one other person though, I don't organize entire teams to roll through RA) and it's actually funnier to see the person you're syncing with show up on the other side. Also, syncing doesn't increase the chance of winning all that much, me and my guildie who synced one time got slaughtered even though we synced with builds that complimented each other.
My view on this: it isn't that big of a deal because I don't see it that much and I don't even sync that much (maybe once every couple weeks for a couple of rounds). I think the people who leave when the group doesn't look good is a lot worse because that puts you at a worse disadvantage (2 vs 4? come on!).

Two more tricks to be the same team:
1. Taiwan District always have fewer than four people to play RA. You always see the message "No opposing party joined." Now, if there are more than 4 players press "Enter Battle", lots chances will be the same team.
2. Not in the same team? They just quit.
xxx has left the game.
xxx has left the game.
xxx has left the game.
Sometimes you 1v4. That's all.

Exactly the reason why I never touch RA, people are making it retarded.
When you get in, one of the following things always happens:
-2 people leave because theres no monk on the team
-Sync faile, people leave
-1 guy dies, people leave
-Guy starts flaming other players because theyre not too good, and leave.
Noobds cant get into organised teams bcause theyre not good enough, so organised and ranked people, stop screwing up noob arenas. You're ruining PvP for beginners. The worst people to play with are those that want to win instead of play.

Yeah, I've always wondered why 90% of the korean teams in RA are nice and balanced.

I - Anet should change Gladiator Points. Win a game, get a point. Current points get converted 1:20 and you get 1 Gladiator point for each victory in the future. This alone would solve alot and would be very easy to implement.
II - If there are no players in Taiwan District 1, go to International Districts. There are many korean and japanese players aswell as Euros and Americans, so you have enough players in your timezone.

Why would 8 people agree to roll? Why? Most games last 1 minute.

This doesn't matter for crying out loud. It's ARENAS. A place for the odd PvP'er to chill out after a long GvG/HA sesh or a place for the enthusiastic PvE wammo to test his PvP skills. Who cares?
Anet have much better things to do then preventing a few Taiwanese players from being in the same team together. I mean if they waste their time sorting stuff like this out, they have their priorities all wrong.
