Guild Wars Guru Staff Will No Longer Be Mediating Trades

We have had a rush of reports that people claiming to be mods and admins from this site are mediating trades and then scamming people in game. Because of this, Guild Wars Guru moderators or admins will no longer be mediating trades in game. We know how frustrating this must be to the community that first off, people who you thought you could trust because of their name would scam you, and second how this service that we willingly offered to the community is now being taken away. Unfortunately we have no other option at this point. The recent amount of scams and hackings in game are unfortunate and we truly hope this is a wake up call to the community to become even more cautious. To persist with ArenaNet support in reporting these type of situations and hopefully safeguards will be put in place to either stop or ban this type of activity.

If anyone mentions otherwise, do not listen to them. At this point we can't really do much more to help people who are still getting scammed.

Do not under any circumstances participate in trades mediated by GWG "moderators." The trade as such is BOGUS.

If we decide to reinstate the service, you will all know. There will be announcements, posts, stickies, etc.
