Why cant we see how much total armor we have? For examle a warrior: My armor is 80+20physical+16shield. Only way i can know how much armor i have is to count it in my head. Looking at the back a bit, gameupdates have made game more userfriendly bit by bit. Now you can see how long your enchatment is lasting, grey color marking deepwound. And that neat testing area in Great temple of balthazar , cant remember name. Make armor values show in the atributes window. Something like rangers basic armor:
Physical [70]
Elemental[100]
Any thoughs?
Is there a reason why the game mechanics are hidden?
Make armor bonus visible to players.

Like D2? Character windows showing our stats and average damage and max AL and elemental resistances
MithranArkanere
Since Guild Wars has no 'stats', and all players have the very same sttributes (but the Primary ones) everything else is set by equipment and skills.
They could add the Hero panel a tab with such data for testing and build improvement purposes:
- Movement speed.
- Min..max weapon damage and damage type.
- Critical chance (and double strike for Assassins)
- Armor:
.Total
.Physical[piercing, slashing, blunt],
.Elemental[Water, Fire, Air, Earth]
.Other: Holy, Chaos, Shadow...
- Block rate
- Etc...
But... will do any good for the game having all that 'hidden' data shown?
