If you decide to delete one of your posts (because of double-post or something), will this post still be visible for other people or will it simple vanish?
I noticed the text of a lot of double posts of other users simply bearing the text 'sry double post' or something without actually deleting the post. Or did these users only edit the post, and not deleting them?
Tnx in advance,
Arduinna

Once you delete your post, only moderators can see them (more like a tag to let them know something was there if they want to look at it). Many people don't know you can delete your own posts, or don't know how. (or can't be bothered? lol)

Thanks for explaining, Mournblade.

I believe Mournblade is correct. Also, allowing mods to see the posts could also be so you can't bump a thread, delete your post, and bump it again.
EDIT: Also, I don't think people realize there is a little "Delete" button you can use...

Well, part of the fuss is that the Delete button isn't obvious. You have to Edit your post, THEN choose delete.
And yes, thats one very good reason why Mods can see deleted posts. There is even an option to allow Mods to see your IP address, so they know if you make a duplicate account to fake-inflate auction bids and other nasty business like that. =)
