Can you actually use this against foes at all when you get it?

If so how?

I know the quest its tied to but is it able to be used against foes at all?

Yes it is usable against enemies but it is a skill that you have to be away from the enemy to use. If you use your other skills to be in touch range, the skill will not activate untill you move away or re-target on an enemy that is further away from you.

Perhaps, but junundu would make farming easy anyway, if you had a suitable target.

However, the he skill is not as nice as it sounds. It has a casting time and a long flight time, so you have trouble hitting enemies, considering you aggro them when you use the skill. Also, the damage is not enough to take down an enemy in one shot - you need more.

I'd say the best skills for a junundu are quite different: as standard, I'd go for tunnel+bite for the healing. If corpses are available, however, junundu feast grants you two nice skills (the third is unfortunately not very damaging).
