I'm sure you have all checked the official GW site to see that this event has been posted for all to see in the community section and even mentions your name, Rahja. What more could you want? The Official GW Wiki's summary of Gaile's visit shows her having intentions to attend The Ball also. I think we under estimate how many people will show. I believe this to become a success!
I did want to interject this though. I believe Gaile will come incognito as this is a masquerade party. After seeing the chaos that occurs when Gaile appears I think she will enjoy being in disguise, so she can enjoy the ball and not upstage the event or its schedule. Though a short appearance of some kind should be in order for the handing out of prizes to get people's attention.
Personally I would love to see the ArenaNet team decorate Serenity Temple with lights and perhaps a sky change similar to Shing Jea's changes for events to accent to the atmosphere. That would truly cause more large community events to occur I believe. This could be great! Or it may cause hurt feelings when player's events aren't recognized or ArenaNet doesn't have the time or resources to help as often as players may like. I seem to remember reading some sort of an update around the time of the introduction to guild hall amenities or perhaps after the success of a holiday event, that ArenaNet would try to help with guild events if they could. My memory leads me to believe it was towards the very end of an interview or update of some kind.

Right, and I certainly hope she will be attending. Alex Weekes of PLAYNC should be coming incognito. I will be making my staff aware of his presence so he gets free drinks and sweets etc, and the same will apply if Gaile contacts me. Gaile I would hope would come incognito, because as you mentioned, her presence tends to create chaos at times, and would most likely cause the event's 4 hour schedule to become skewed and more like 6-7 hours... but I do hope she pops in for a quick hi while not incognito, to show awareness. I haven't noticed her on the forums much lately, so I assume she is busy and will eventually respond here, Patience is a virtue.
But yes, this event is huge. The feedback and community has truly come together for this one. The amount of donations, support, and kindness so far has been great, and I truly hope that continues up until and through the event, and far after it as well (at least the support and kindness).
As an update, I am going to log in to the game now, so if you want to donate some shards, ectos, jewels, RARE skinned golds and VERY RARE greens, as well as stackable party items. I am running so low on space guys, I am needing to be picky. If you had thoughts of donation but do not meet the above criteria, please don't be upset. I really appreciate your kind thoughts of donating, and remember, it is the thought that counts and makes you an outstanding community member and a truly great person. If you had a genuine intent to donate but don't have the items above, so what? Just come to the ball, your presence is donation enough for me. <3
