Customizing Shields/Foci (Why not?)

Why not be able to customize your fav shield of foci. I mean Anet could add a +4 armor (i used 4 just for example purposes, and to make the shield AL to20) when customized, so customization is usefull.

Also, since Warriors were affected from the dmg reduction nerf only working on physical dmg, a +AL from customization on shields wouldnt hurt (not saying wars really need it)

Basically, im just throwing this idea out there, i thought of it today so i havent really had the time to think about all the pros and cons. However, i have thought of a few cons, 1) Hammer Warriors might be less desireable. 2) Monks using shields to counter wars a bit have a little more of an advantage. 3) Depending on how much AL is added from customization, the dmg reduction nerf might be pointless (the extra AL might make the dmg reduction pointless)

PS: I added foci into there since i dont see why they would do this for shields and not foci, im not saying foci need +AL when customized, but maybe some people here can think of an appropriate bonus to customizing foci?

So, as you guys can see this is just an idea i had. I would appreciate any feedback you guys can give me to make this idea better or to tell me this idea just sucks

i think it should stay the way it is.... its awesome being able to switch shields between diff chars.

Customizing is not a duty, is a choice.
And RPG games are about choices.

PvP shields and foci and all bonus stuff come customized, but with no added bonus.

Foci should have +energy bonus.
Shields should have +armour bonus.
Staves should have +energy bonus instead of damage.
Wands should keep the damage bonus (the energy bonus would be in the foci)

That is what it should be.

My choices would be:
- +3 armor to shields (less than +20% armour given by the shield)
- +2 energy to foci (less than 20% energy given by the foci)
- +2 energy to staves (+20% energy given by the stave)
- Wands stay with +20% damage.

Aditionally, two handed weapons whould have some love, by making them have +33% damage instead of +20%.
