Farm Code??

ok. I understand farm code to a point. Its where the system thinks that you are a bot cause you keep doing the same run over and over again on the same path and so forth. But...while this is acceptable to stop people from using bots, there is one thing I just don't agree with. That would be where you have no real way of knowing that you do in fact have farm code other than sucky drops. For example, if you solo farm the UW or FoW and you get farm code, is there still a chance of an ecto or shard to drop? or does the farm code affect things like weapons like no more gold drops which is very rare anyway? My main question would be, how do you know in a sure shot way that you do in fact have farm code as to give a hint to say stop farming here cause you won't get what you are looking for??

Normally, a message pops up saying that if you kill the same mobs over and over again they'll run out of loot.

UW and FoW are slightly different. Yes, the farm code stops you from farming the same thing over and over again, but killing everything in the area resets all the drops. For me, I went and hunted Chkkr's. I ran straight to the Chkkr's and fought them. When finally they stop dropping items I go and kill everything in the area and it resets the drops.

Well as much as that would be nice to kill everything in the area, I solo. And if ever there was a build to solo UW to kill everything? Expeecially with all the nerfs that Anet has been putting on skills that favor the PvP community. If you have a solo build to kill the Aatxes, which I have not found a liable one yet for a warrior, then it does no good against smites. And if you solo smites, you can't kill the Aatxes. And not to mention the lovely Coldfire Nights. I farm the UW as much as I can without getting bored. I even left the area alone for a week and farmed elsewhere and the past 10 runs or so, I have not gotten a single ecto the whole time.

Just bad luck IMO

In the last week Ive done probably close to 30 solo smite runs with my Ele (only around 3-4 runs a night to avoid the anti-bot code) & have got only 3 Ectos in this past week. I finished up my protector of Elona in the beginning of the week (Dzagonur & Poghan) & started working on capping all elites in the game, Ive capped close to 100 Elites in this last week.....and still not getting Ecto's. Im getting gold items, purple items & dye drops on top of the normal whites, Demonic remains & money drops...just no Ecto's. IMHO its just bad luck...lol very bad luck.
