Can't trade torment weapon?

A friend of mine got an armbrace today and he turned it in for a tormented scythe. He can put it in storage and give it to another character, he can drop it on the ground in an explorable zone, but he can't trade it to anyone in a trade. He says it won't let him put it in the window. I haven't seen anything about this or seen anything on wiki for the tormented weapons. Anyone have any insights?

People sell tormented weapons all the time.

You have to unequip the weapon in order for it to be available for the trade window now.

yea... uhhtry that and if it still doesnt work try taking it out of the box... other than that i traded my armbrace for 250 ectos and i would recommend trading it for a tormented weapon besides u can get maybe 800k or so from the weapon but the armbrace well i got 250 ectos thats like 1.3 mil or so

You CAN'T trade customized weapons.

I think you still can, only the text box will pop up and warn you that, you are about to trade the custimized weapon.

You can trade customised ones, it just tells you that you shouldn't :P

wow thats soooo wrong, its just a scam waiting to happen.

It's an old scam, that's why anet put in the warning text box for anyone dumb enough to trade or buy custimized weapon.

It's not just a text box, it's a window that comes up and says "This weapon is customised, are you sure you want to trade?" and you have to click Yes. So if you fall for it...you should try a new game :S

some people dont care that its customized, they just want to own the set or something like that.....(have seen a few people chatting about that once or twice).......I dont get it, but whatever floats their boats.

Lol in the old days, the scammer would say something like, "you can uncustomize it at the weapon merchant". Remember kids! don't buy customized weapon.
