In-Game Character Background Stories

I briefly played City of Heroes in the summer of 2004, the summer before Prophecies was released. One feature I liked about the game was the ability to create a background story for your character. Other players could view the story and it was a neat way to blend a comic book theme into the game.

I always thought it would be cool to have that in GW! As both games are published under NCsoft, there should be no complaints.

Furthermore, it'd be neat if names of other characters/players could link to that character's bio. These would only show up in-town... like titles.


Do people like this idea...? Maybe someone can suggest another neat feature to add to this main idea?

sounds like a great thing to add to GW2, it would make charecters much deeper and more personal. this would be cool

I am always down with more fluff potential. I also don't see any way this would detract from the game for those who don't wish to come up with backstories.
