Yeah A-net is allllwaayyss on-time with their updates/events.

Maybe when I wake up tomorrow it will be up and running. My guess is they've run into a last minute bug of 20 that they need to fix.

I learned long ago not to expect accurate ETAs on anything related to ArenaNet. They get to it when they feel like it.

Oh wow... the elite scroll thing sounds a bit retarded. So now people can make characters without having to go cap a single skill. I think theyre taking away the elite factor of getting elite skills in PVE. There is NO POINT in going out to cap skills anymore.

Skill hunter title = GG, I loved everything about this update until i read this.

True, I just used it as a random example.. but forgot that Sandstorm was even more of a pain in the butt to get from the second boss. I've killed him, after taking out his buddies, but he was a bit annoying.

Gaile Chat today said to expect it before midnite Pacific.

If I remember correctly, the same chat said you would NOT have to do the bonus part of the mission to get into Hard Mode.

Hopefully anet will make the elite tomes accessable through non inflatable means, otherwise those things are gonna be going for at least 30K each.

At least it will force some of the PvE - only players who are to afraid to delve into PvP to at least try it.

You still have to have the elite unlocked on the account.

People have been complaining for ages about having to unlock elites on multiple characters. This seems like a fair compromise.

And the elites are already available to your heroes.

Besides, this is just going to increase the likelihood that PUGs will be able to have the skills necessary to do a mission/quest.

I agree that it devalues the Skill Hunter title a bit, but I never saw anyone go on about how very difficult it was to do in the first place (although I think it's a bit of a slog to do it...not hard, but a bit expensive and takes time...but that's describes most in game titles in one way or another).

Over all, I'm pretty happy with everything I've heard about Hard Mode so far. Hope that the actual implementation is even better.

Well... it's much harder than Savannah Heat. I can remember having some problems the first time I did it. Although when I went to help my friend to capture it, it was rather easy.

Ok, I think some people may be happy about the hard mode with more gold, better drops, and new items. You'd be like. Oh weeee.... level 28 mountain trolls, more p00n ass drops for me!!! Guess what, maybe not! The AI will be smarter and more flexible and not only that, the monsters would have better skills to counter 55 farming bots, which they are annoying. Besides which, ANet condemns farming, like their "anti-farm code," nerf of Maatu Keep area for invinciblementalists (manage to go around that, though slower), and of course for invincimonks, the Spirit Bond. I bet that they will nerf Protective Spirit as well.
