Greetings,

Im looking to get into Guild Wars with some friends, and I notice there are several versions:

Guild Wars
Guild Wars: Nightfall
Guild Wars: Factions

Out of the above three, which is most story/mission/quest based? I think we'll eventually try out PvP, but for starters I'd liek to learn the game mechanics through missions with them. Opinions?

Factions has the funnest missions in my opinion, but it also has the fewest(13 missions?).

Guild Wars:Prophicies (the first 1 you said) is the longest, and it has the best storyline in my opinion(25 missions).

Nightfall: Has the same caliber storyline as Prophicies, and its got some pritty fun missions(20 mission).

Out of the 3 (keep in mind in far in each one) Ive liked Nightfall the best.

All three use the same 'model' for action. You follow a storyline which takes you on both quests and missions. I would recommend starting at the beginning so the flow is more natural. (Prophecies)

You might also want to consider the grind when getting one of the three.

Prophecies: No Grind
Factions: Two small parts where you have to grind (10,000 Luxon/Kurzick faction to continue with the story at a certain point)
Nightfall: Possible grind, depending on the amount of Sunspear points you have.

Prophecies i would say, theres alot of missions and the later ones are really fun to do with people.

prophecies. factions is short, and nightfall is boring and grind-filled

Thanks all, makes sense to start with Prophecies since it was first. Probaby less expensive too. I'll check it out
