I went N secondary and brought these 3 skills:
[skill]Awaken The Blood[/skill][skill]Order Of Pain[/skill][skill]Insidious Parasite[/skill]
Piece of cake.

Just max out tactics and spam parry riposte and deadly. It is very simple and quick That's exactly the build I threw together for Doppelganger. It's very funny watching him kill himself, and extremely fast(10 seconds or less). I used:[skill]Dolyak Signet[/skill][skill]"Watch Yourself!"[/skill][skill]Enraging Charge[/skill][skill]Balthazar's Spirit[/skill] for the rest of the bar.

I beat Doppel on hard mode for all 3 of my Tyrian chars. Here...
Me/R I used Backfire at the start of the fight. The Doppelganger will cast all those useless spells (I brought all 1 second cast ones, save for a 3 second one which he uses at the start so I have time to cast backfire) and bring his health down to about 15%. Once he finishes with his spells, and starts attacking me, I use Empathy. The Dryder's Defenses is just to avoid taking much damage when he attacks.
R/any Let your furry feline friend do most of the damage dealing, as well as tanking. I messed up the time I did this and took the screenie below. My pet died at the end, but I still killed the guy.
W/any Okay, I'll admit I cheated on this one. In normal mode, I would bring frenzy, but not use it. The Doppel would activate it, and I would just pound the tar out of her in about 9 seconds. In HM, Doppel seems to refrain from using Frenzy. I stole this technique from GuildWiki.
P.S. - I forgot the times, and these screens were taken just as the Doppel dropped dead, the mission completion icon appeared, and the timer vanished. I assure you each was well under 40 seconds (actually, one was well under 40, one well under 30, and one well under 18!) and scored the bonus.

I kind of didn't want to go running around getting all the skills for the Secondary Necro Sacrifice build, so I (W/Mo) literally cleared my entire skill set, maxed Domination Magic, used Empathy, and did nothing but strafe.
Piece of cake, each hit does 23-30 damage to me not including misses, but 39 damage to him. Empathy lasts 13 seconds, takes 10 to recharge.
Unless you're not wearing armor, this is very difficult to mess up.
Cheaper and more time consuming than other methods, but this requires very little thinking.

Anyone have any idea how I could beat him as an E/MO with only Prophs/core skills? I have attempted to do so several times, and it is not working real good.
ichigo_panty
Retrubition is enough. Retrubition on and sit down and relax while it kills itself off.
But you might want to take 1 additional healing spell.

Ficus
mo/r with about 5 spirits, apply poison and burning arrow. kill him while he puts down spirits
Milennin
Let him waste Energy and time casting Attunement spells and some other random things, let him activate Dolyak Signet.
I just use Deadly Riposte and Gash a few times and he went down in 20 seconds I think.

Dougal Kronik
Any Ele primary or secondary should just take Iron Mist and damage spells.
Just make sure none of your spells or weapon do Lightning damage.

This is good, but you can make it simpler... Assuming since it is hard mode that you can make a Necro your secondary at will, any class can fill the Curses attribute and then just take
Insidious Parasite
Then, don't attack... He'll heal you and kill himself. To speed it up, throw in SS. If you are attacking to take advantage of Order of Pain, you risk healing him.

Meh...
Necromancer all the way... the choices are quite vast:
[skill]Spoil Victor[/skill] does most of the work quite easily.
Insidious Parasite, Enfeeble and Price of Failure are shiny too. ^_^ O'course you need to NOT attack the guy...
Awaken the Blood, Cultist's Fervor... and a selection of otherwise harmless health sacrifices does nicely...
For an extra bonus if you don't need your elite slot for anything else:
Signet of Agony and Virulence... [And for extra extra risk... if you're N or E primary... Burning Speed and Frigid Armor in that order... Just make sure to keep the latter up and use Virulence whenever the guy sets himself on fire.... though this is just speculation on my part as I've never tried it... =P]

I went Mo/N with 105hp and a build similiar to the 55hp monk (Prot spirit, mending and healing breeze to negate any damage he does try to inflict). [skill]spoil victor[/skill] worked a charm, and then used [skill]bane signet[/skill] and [skill]holy strike[/skill] to finish him off. And you then have 2 spots on your skillbar that you can fill with anything you want to make the whole process quicker
Xeeron
For monk, going secondary is not really needed. Just bring:
[skill]Retribution[/skill], [skill]Holy Wrath[/skill] and [skill]Shield of Judgment[/skill].
He'll die before Shield runs out.

I didnt had a zealot scar pattern so died before he lost all his life attacking me(As a Mo with these 3 skills). Just took spirit bond with myself - was hiding energy using a free weapon slot an a staff, he didnt had a chance
JMFD
For ele, I bought all the attunements, glyph of elemental power, swirling aura and flare.
Flarespam ftw
(Guildwiki is ace where I blatantly nicked the idea from)

Jacxxmaster
SS, PoF, and Insidious Parasite. Just cast those and run around like a panzy. He'll die pretty quickly. Just did it with a war. If energy is a problem, get a +15e staff and you should be fine (even without glads)
Diddy bow
i beat him just by using spoil victor, price of failire and shroud of distress on my sin im sure there is better things to take than shroud but it worked, got bonus too
