Problem logging in

Sorry if this has been posted and answered previously but my attempts to use the search function were futile. It told me I don't have permission to access this page. Don't know why.

Anyways let me give you the details. I previously was able to access GW just fine, the only notable problem was the incredibly slow update speed, I decided that if it was going to be like this for a few weeks then I should use the GW shortcut with the -image command so I can get all the neccesary updating out of the way overnight while I slept. While I was sleeping my internet cut out. I woke up tonight to find it frozen at 6%. I cancelled and tried to run GW, it ran fine but when I tried to log in it just said connecting. Stayed like that for like 10 minutes.

I thought it may have something to do with the incomplete update, so utilizing the -image command I did a full update (DL speed was normal again). I downloaded like 52k files or so. However GW is still doing the same thing, just says 'Connecting...' and stays as such.

Any insight would be appreciated.

EDIT: I just discovered some additional info which may help. I get the exact same result (Connecting...) when I try to reset my password.
