Hard mode titles should be account based...Poll

Hard mode titles should be account based...particularly the vanquisher title.

There is no way that in the time remaining before the release of guild wars 2 (when presumably player numbers will dwindle drastically) any sensible person is going to have the time or inclination to; complete every mission and bonus in hard mode and/or clear every area of the game in hard mode with more than one character.

I feel it makes much more sense for any number of reasons that these titles are changed to account based titles which can be displayed/used by any character who has completed that campaign.

I disagree.

First off, the only titles I'd argue for moving from character-based to account-based are the Treasure-Hunter and Wisdom titles, because there are actual bonuses (salvage rate, and now for TH the lock-pick survival rate bonus) associated with those titles, and it's at best a pointless waste of time for me to save all the golds I find for one character, and move all the items I want to salvage to that character as well.

Since at the moment, there's no bonus associated with those titles (other then the prestige), there's no reason you "need" those titles (in the sense that you need to get them at all) on any more then one character. I'd bet most people, and especially those who try to get and max titles, have only one (or maybe two) characters that they go for titles with. Titles like TH, Cartographer, Skill Hunter, etc, already take a lot of time on a specific character to get. If there's a few more prestige titles that only your "main character" will get, then nothing wrong with that.

Where was it said that anyone should have more than one character(if even that) with every title maxxed, not counting LDOA/Survivor titles.

Well, if the OP really means guild Wars 2 and not GW:EN, then I don't see the problem. GW2 is two years away.

I do agree with MoriaOrc about the Wisdom title, Golds don't grow on trees. Especially since it has an influence on lockpicks. That just makes my secondary characters as little bit less desirable to play.

This is it:

- Tittles you can get in the PvP isles: account based.
- Titles you can't: character based.

Exploration, Treasure Hunting, Missions made? Character.
Drunkard, Sweet tooth, Seeker of wisdom? You can trade items by Xunlai. Account.

That's it for me.

Nay, it's a PvE title and most PvE titles are character based. Btw, this way everyone would run around with KoaBD in pre.
