Vanquisher Title in Tyria...

***Off Topic***
After clearing Old Ascalon, killing a total of 252 monsters in almost 2 hours for 1 vanquisher point, I tought about something...
Snake Dance Clearing? Mineral springs Clear? Aouch?

This could be useful for us who want to achieve the Vanquisher Title In Tyria.
So here's some useful information you could write:
"Name of the zone"
"Number of monsters to kill"
It could be a useful way to see how much monster we must kill in the zone. I just hope people will complete this Chart.
Here I start the thread.
Name of the zone: "Old Ascalon"

Name of the zone: "Old Ascalon"
Number of monsters to kill: 252 Actually I killed everything on my way through tyria for Grandmaster Cartographer and all zones (i.e southern shiverpeaks/ring of fire) didn't take more than an hour each. With hard mode I'm expecting an hour and a half, depending on how many monsters were added versus improved (which I think is the case in most areas that they were just beefed).
I also saw a post similar to yours for nightfall areas so this would be a good thing to bookmark and keep track of for future help.

I think all normal monsters now get + 1 elite skill and the AI is actually smart now (an example is that Grawl Crone's used Signet of Agony only when you're nearly dead. Now they use it from the get go). I can't even begin to imagine Dreadnaught's Drift (Maw is probably the size of a mountain or something)

Hard Mode is actually hard.

Eldin
Griffon's Mouth - 52.
It may vary though. For some reason when I went there the two nameless Ettin bosses didn't spawn, though maybe they are exclusive to normal mode.

Replicant
Nebo Terrace - 150 - 770exp + 462 gold.
Things like Lynx and stuff will count the number, but do not have to be killed for the clearing of each zone.
got completion with about 6 lynx left alive.

A Warrior boss that ended up killing Norgu (Olias the moron didn't use Reckless) and a Monk boss. For the record, the monk boss has NO skills. He literally just laid into 1 of my henchman for a while until the stacking of Empathy, SS, Reckless and Price killed him. He never used a single skill during the entire fight.
All killing Lynx will do is increase the amount of exp/gold you get at the end. They don't actually speed up the Vanquisher level because your still missing enemies.

How do you kill the whole charr army in the first mission?
I couldn't do that in normal mode (just ran thru for cartographer), but in hard mode? is it possible?

lol Thomas - I have never tried as there was no point - why did u do it?
Are we talking about the same thing?
I mean at the end of the first mission where the charr army chase you and you have 3 mins to get back. If you want the mission you run back and if you want to explore the charr camp you run through, why would you fight them?
In hard mode you will have to fight them to clear the area - thats not going to be easy.

I have a question about one of the update notes presented when hard mode came out, by anet.
"Once an explorable area has been vanquished in Hard mode, players will receive gold equal to three times the number of creatures defeated, and experience equal to five times the number of creatures defeated."
My question is 2 things,
1) What exactly does this mean? Is it saying once you kill all the enemies in the area you are granted 5 time exp X (# of enemies killed) and 3 times the gold X (# of enemies killed)
or is it saying...
Once you have vanquished this area you will recieve 3x the money and 5x the experience..... which im starting to think isnt the deal.
And....
2) If u do receive as listed in the presented information by anet... Then how come we arent getting exactly 3x the gold of # enemies killed and 5x the exp?? Because im seeing people say they killed 150 enemies in an area, which would turn out to be... 450 gold and 750 xp... but instead they are receiving.
"Nebo Terrace - 150 - 770exp + 462 gold."
or when I vanquished Scoudnrels Rise which i killled 49 enemies, i received 357 gold and 417exp??
it just doesnt add up....
im hoping for major bug fixes or something... idk

Phaern Majes
Its 3 and 5 times the number of enemies you killed. I think numbers may not add up because if you kill the "wildlife" such as stalkers, lynx, etc. It does count toward your numbers but I'm not so sure that it counts when the game figures the amount of gold and xp you receive. I could be wrong, but I haven't noticed my numbers off the few times I've checked.

The Area's switch from Red to gold once you have cleared it out for the title.

It sounds as though you didn't know that the Vanquisher title only requires you to clear the explorable areas -- not the missions.

I couldn't do that in normal mode (just ran thru for cartographer), but in hard mode? is it possible? It appears as though in the missions you don't have to kill everything. Only the Explorable Areas. In Tyria, the missions are not also explorable areas so you don't need them to achieve Vanquisher. I did that first mission and killed most of the enmies, but skipped the 2 devourers while running from that army at the end, and the helmet still turned gold.
The real test would be to look and see if there is a kill count in the top corner during the mission. If there isn't, don't worry about killing everything.
