Crossing over?

I was just wondering but I have heard people talking about crossing over. Does this mean you can take a character from one chapter that you bought to another so you don't have to start all over again and get new equipment? If so will you be able to do this in Guild Wars 2?

You can take your characters to the other campaigns.

You will not be taking your characters to GW2.

Indeed. All the campaigns out right now (Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall) are "Guild Wars 1". They can played seperately, but can also be played together, like Megablox.

"Guild Wars 2" is a whole new game. It can be played by itself, but you can't transfer characters from "Guild Wars 1" to it, since it for the sake of this analogy, it is Legos.

But you CAN transfer accomplishments from GW1 to GW2 via the "Hall of Monuments" which will come with the expansion "Guild Wars: Eye of the North". There isn't a lot of info on this subject right now, but supposedly you earn these accomplishments by maxing titles.

So, y'know...get on it.

I read somewhere that Eya of the North will ac as a bride into guild wars 2. It also said that for Eye of the North you will need the other expansions. SO does that mean you can transfer your character if you own Eye of the north and all the other games? I hope you can because it's really stupid to work so hard on equipment and your character and such asnd then they release a new game and your back a square one.

You will need any ONE of the current chapters to use GW:EN.

When you play GW:EN, you'll be able to get your Hall of Monuments. These will provide a "heritage" for your GW2 characters. There's not much certian about how they'll work, but titles you earn will play a role in it and you'll be able to reserve your current names for GW2.
