Apparently according to Gaile a second ago, it was because a line of text crashed the French (?) Guild Wars servers so they y'kna ..... kinda had to fix it.

Shortly after almost every update mentioned there is a second smaller update that isn't mentioned in the patch notes. Since I've never actually noticed any gameplay changes from them, I'm guessing they are all minor bug fixes.
