Legendary Spearmarshal = Easiest Title in the Game to Max

Protector is no longer the easiest title in the game to max. Now Legendary Marshal is much easier to max than Protector.

I'm not complaining, easy to get maxed titles are good.

Although I do remember that Anet didn't let ya max Sunspear in the first place because they "didn't want it to be an easily farmable title". Yet all this time later, that's exactly what it is.

What do you think about this?

How is this title easier? When you reach castellan, you have to move to hard mode to get to spearmarshal...Which isnt hard, but still is not as easy as normal mode.

There is nothing hard about maxing Spearmarshal in hard mode.

For those who don't know how:

Go to Remains of Sahlahja. Make an all henchman party and/or hero & hench party. Exit south. Get blessing. Enter worm. Kill all the undead in your worms. Heck, you don't even have to join the fight or participate at all in any way whatsoever. You can just flag your AI party to the red dots of undead enemies. Let them kill the enemies. Move em to the boss. Let them kill the boss, zone, and repeat. Alternatively, you do not even have to kill the boss, you can also just farm the first two undead groups and zone again.

Either way requires zero skill whatsoever. The only "hard" part about it is not getting too bored with the tedium of sending your AI party to the red dots for a few hours in a row until your title is maxed to Legendary Spearmarshal.

Just out of curiousity (for those of us not playing at the moment), about how much per run were you getting? Just curious, since I'm at work.

Yes, but killing the LB-giving mobs is at least a little bit hard, whereas killing Sunspear-giving mobs is not hard at all.

Yes, I'm aware it's double point weekend. Too bad for me I work nights and have family obligations so I miss out on most of these weekend events.

Since there will be skills tied to this title, it better be easy to max.

ANet made us wait for months until they finally let us max out the title. Making it easy to max was the least that they could do.

6 (12 for weekend) plus 6 for each foe you kill, once you kill a boss (max 150 pts)

8 for Sunspear (16 for weekend) same rules as above but 200 max.

OP is right for the most part; it is easy to get the title, and for this weekend even more so. I wouldn't say it's the EASIEST as any that just require money only are certainly easier.. but, t'was still easy.

I took the gate of desolation exit, collected the bounty and did a ring in the sulfur area around the entrance.. ie: head right, get worms, kill undead group 1 to north, then northwest, then west at which point you will have 25 kills, then take out the group just to the south with Vahlen the Silent, then loop back around the top to the west.

I was making ~1150 SS points per 8-9 minutes.

Not that I am complaining.. I like titles, I hope it doesn't change! :-D

I too am using Wurms to farm SS points like biofrog^. I leave north exit of Gate of Desolation, talk to scout guy and go to the Wurm nearest the shrine. Go to the right of the rocky area you start on and work around the plateau to the north ramp then kill Vahlen's group. 800 points in 4-5 mins. I just missed out the groups to the West of the rock, instead I mapped back to Gate and started again.

Like what's been said already. There are 4 undead mobs in addition to a boss mob right in line in the Wastes. Takes me 8 minutes to get about 1200.

OK to be clear on this. You start from Remains of Sahlahja and go south to The Sulfurous Wastes?

Well, its not easy. Lets suppose you consume only bunnies, so first of all, you need 5000 bunny for the max title. (each counts as 2) So, for 1 bunny consume you have to click twice, and that means 5000*2=10k clicks xD. And you need about 1-2mill gold for it. Bah, it worths it ^^

They deserve it. They get stupidly overpowered buffs to practically everything. So we jump in a wurm and pound the shit out of them with a power AoE ressurect.

But yeah... simple boss runs, especially over this weekend can get you this title in a few hours. 5 minutes a run, 50 runs needed.

Those that require money aren't easier to max because they require 1 - 2 million in gold and getting 1 - 2 million is way harder than maxing Legendary Spearmarshal is.

Takes 8-10 minutes depending on spawns and extra pulls. So about 7 hours will get you from 0-50k.

What do you think about this?

I already have max, and I only grinded the title for like 8 hours, which is very little compared to any others.

I was surprised, because I already have max for this title, and I started, well...today. So thats 1 more for Kind of A Big Deal for me.

Here is my advice!

Navaro's post explains it all, exit out of Remains and ride the worms, killing undead. This weekend is the best time to do this, because of the double sunspear points, and it would take you twice as long any other weekend.

So, if you'd like a fast, easy maxed title, take advice from someone who got it in less than 8 hours. It's very easy, fun, a bit of work but much less every other title.

And yes, the title of this thread is totally correct, This is the easiest title to max in the game, BY FAR.

Wo0t, Legendary Spearmarshal ftw!

[wiki]Alem the Unclean[/wiki]. Go Wiki.

I prefer the method going out from the Gates of Desolation into Soufurous Wastes and going counterclockwise to kill Undead, then [wiki]Vahlen the Silent[/wiki]. It's 1-2 minutes faster, but it adds up.

And I'll simply laugh if there turns out to be no significant benefit (i.e. no new Skills) from r10 Sunspear.

The skills will probably scale with the sunspear rank. 10 gold on the diminishing returns thing though.

I don't have a whole lot of time to spend this weekend, but since I plan on Vanquishing Elona, I'll just let the Legendary Sunspear come naturally along the way, rather than spend any energy farming it specifically. If, when I'm done, I'm still not max, then I'll do the wurm thing a bit.

you'll really save an unreal amount of time. its really worth it to spend the time this weekend if you ever plan on maxing it. it averages out to over 100 points per minute

IMO Its harder run, I tried both runs. In Vahlen's run, you have to deal with some Sandstorm Crags and Shambling Messas. Not to mention groups of undead there consist of some paragons and monks ressing each other.

I just switched over to this run becuse the travel time to get to the boss in the other run seemed like too much wasted time.

The run from Gates of Desolation offers about 500 points per 10 minutes, NOT including Vahlen's group. If you double back to Vahlen, you'll probably increase that to 800 points from 13 minutes

That is amazingly cool armor. What is it? Also, can you get sunspear points in HM in places you normally wouldn't after Castellan in normal mode?
