Hello everyone. What exactly does the term "max" mean on a weapon?? How do I join a group or invite a group to do a quest when I'm in a town?? It never seems to work for me.

Hi, welcome to Guild Wars 
If a weapon is max, it means that it has max damage stats:
Swords: 15-22
Axes: 16-28
Hammers: 19-35
Bows: 15-28
Daggers: 7-17
Scythes: 9-41
Spears: 14-27
And staffs 11-22.
If you want to invite someone to your party, simply write their names on your party window (P). Here you can also see if someone wants to invite you into their party.
