Superior Elite Tomes
My Green Storage
I will state the obvious ..
Superior Elite Tomes ... Unlock ONE(1) Elite skill on your account whether you've already unlocked it or not.
Haven't had time to unlock flesh golem? No problem.
Shield of Judgement? We got you covered.
Greater Conflagaration? Let an Superior Elite Tome cover your ass
***This was a spur of the moment post, ignore and forgive if it's already been suggested.

lolwut?
If you want to unlock a skill, go pvp. Seriously. Easy as pie. Want it to be easier? Go make a cookie-cutter touch ranger, and hop in AB or RA. Those balth faction points will pile up in notime, then just dump 3000 of them to unlock whatever elite you want, then use that elite tome.

You can get 3000 Balthazar faction per day just by making the Training arena course.

I think keeping it the way it is supports PvP. I know if I pick up one of them I'll get the faction necessary for a skill I have not unlocked. I don't PvP much, I like the 12v12 alliance matches every so often.

really, is it too much to ask to just use a cookie cutter build in RA and AB?

What about the people who simply don't like pvp? I personally do not like pvp one bit. I don't do it at all unless my guild specifically asks me to come. Why should I HAVE to do pvp? And what gives anyone the right to say thats a bad idea, just because there is a different system in place.
I wish people would stop insisting that everyone should play GW the way you do. I for one am sick of such things.

*bashes Darkie over the head for his horrible typing*
I see this as a double edged sword imo. There are people like the above Darkie who absolutely HATE pvp and thusly dont want to play it. However I like the idea, although it really lends to abuse of the system if they are too easily gotten.
Anyways...

This would cause nobody to ever kill Maw again and Maw is an evil beast that should be killed by everyone in GWs at least once.

The tomes are meant for convenience, but they shouldn't support absolute laziness. If you don't PvP, get another character and go cap that skill or spell with it to unlock it for use with the Tome.
Guild Wars isn't full of silver platters.
