D/E build (will this work vs a interrupting ranger?)

Ok well, my friend is an exceptional ranger in the game, I really need to know if this build will work in a 1 v 1 pvp match. (he uses poisen arrow.) He also eqipts many interrupts.


Weapon: Bubahl's Grasp

Weapon Stats:

* Earth Damage: 9-41 (Requires 9 Scythe Mastery)
* Damage +15% (while Health is above 50%)
* Armor +7 (vs. physical damage)


Skills used:

Ebon Dust Aura (Elite) - 10 ¼ 20
Elite Enchantment Spell. For (Min: 5 - Max: 29) seconds, if you are wielding an earth weapon, your attack skills also cause Blindness for (Min: 4 - Max: 9) seconds. (this will work because of the Bubahl's Grasp weapon)


Conviction - 5 20
Stance. For (Min: 10 - Max: 30) seconds, you have +24 armor while enchanted, otherwise you have +(Min: 1 - Max: 3) Health regeneration.


Glyph of Lesser Energy - 5 20
For 15 seconds, your next two spells cost 10...16 less Energy to cast.


Pious Concentration - 5 5
Stance. For (Min: 5 - Max: 17) seconds, you cannot be interrupted, but each time you would have been interrupted, you lose 1 Enchantment or Pious Concentration ends.


Vital Boon - 5 1 8
Enchantment Spell. For 20 seconds, you have +(Min: 40 - Max: 88) maximum Health. When this Enchantment ends, you are healed for (Min: 75 - Max: 175) Health.


Signet of Pious Light - 1 20
Signet. Lose one Enchantment. Target ally is healed for (Min: 30 - Max: 102) Health. If an Enchantment was removed in this way, this Signet recharges immediately.


Chilling Victory - 10 10
Scythe Attack. If it hits, this attack strikes for +(Min: 5 - Max: 17) damage. Whenever it hits a foe who has less Health than you, all adjacent foes are struck for (Min: 15 - Max: 51) cold damage.



Lastly I need a skill that gets rid of a condition, any suggestions? Please review this build and tell me if it works.

a) pvp 1 on 1 is retarded. The game is designed for team pvp, so its meaningless.
b) He's gonna kite. Either put in crippling slash or pious haste.

by the way, I'm not sure why you're worried about being interrupted. Vital boon?

Only one attack skill? Too much defense. You're just going to peck away at him with Chilling Victory because you have an ebon scythe and then the skill does cold damage and rangers have all kinds of armor vs elemental damage. Forget EDA. It's only good in team PvP where you can have some support while you are doing melee shut down because an EDA build is essentially a blind bot. Replace EDA with Avatar of Melandru. Now you no longer have an issue with poison arrow. He will kite so you need either a speed boost or a snare. With ele as secondary I'd go with one of the water magic snares since you can hit long range with it. Once you have him snared run in and wail. Victorious sweep is a good cheap attack skill with nice damage. Wearying Strike is another good one to use while in Melandru form. Mystic Regen can save your butt too since he uses a DoT condition

That still couldn't kill a ranger, kite until forms down, and it doesn't have enough dmg to kill good ranger ns>troll>mending touch. A nice skill would be Shadowy Burden. Wait until he uses Natural Stride then use shadowy Burden end his natural stride and so he is 25% snared then unleash your attacks doing some armor penetrating from Shadowy Burden. Avatar of Melandru is a good idea if you can make him fight while your form is up.
