Since the Hard Mode update last week, without giving any error codes or BSOD, GW has locked up 6 times and I have had to reboot to clear it. I have not made any system or hardware changes, nor is it overclocked or over heating.
I have had no problems up until now.

The game has locked on me about 3 times since the Hard Mode update, every time the game crashes I have to use ctrl alt del to kill the process which takes me about 20 tries before it actually kills it.
I get repeating sounds when it locks up which is very annoying I've never had this problem before.
My system specs are:
2GB RAM
AMD 64 X2 3800+
Geforce 6800 XT 256MB
So I highly doubt ram is causing the issue, with the Hard Mode update didn't they change some sound code? I imagine there could be a bug with the sound, also my sound card is on board.
Sometimes during the game I also notice sounds lock up for a few seconds (repeat) but then go back to normal. I might have to check my sound settings in game to see if I have it set too high for my card.

One thing I did not mention in my OP, what was I doing when the lock up occured. I have rolled out a new Tyrian ranger survivor/GMC/protector and catching every quest I can along the way before I move forward in the game. As we all know, the GMC requires allot of camera movement getting in and out of nooks and corners. I'm guessing that all of the character and camera movement for the GMC is taking it's toll somewhere.
I did reduce my graphics settings to medium and I took it easy last night with a different character hitting some of the easier to get to treasure chests and had no problems.
