Welcome to GW!

Nope, the max level is 20, and won't change. (GW 2 will have higher levels, tho) But that's OK, because that's when the game gets good. How well you set up your skill bar and how well you play your character is the measure of true success in GW, not getting to the top level.

I'm almost to level 5 now. Guess you can get more points towards the missions vs fighting.

Sorry, more questions.

1. Speaking of playing your character, is there any place where you can actively role-play on the server, or find someone who could teach you?

2. When's he release date of GW2 (Yes I know I'm rushing.) and when it does get released, could their be anyway you could transfer your old characters.

3.Will the no-fee charge still apply when they release it?

4. How are they keeping the server running without ads or fees? Just curious.

5. How to I meet people and make friends, which I am not really good at.

6. Is the guest password the only way to pass it around or are there cds like WOW? Or say you have more then one friend, how could you get more then one guest password?

Thanks alot.

Yeah you needn't worry about the level of your character, it will advance to lvl 20 as you play through the game. In answer to your questions:

1. I dont really understand this question, I'm not much of a game player (only this one) so not to sure what you mean by it.

2. Its not due for release until 2009/10 so no worries about that yet.

3. Yes, same no monthly fee policy. They are ensuring that remains.

4. From game sales alone. Apparently it really does work.

5. Just gong pugs when you are doing missions, talk to your team, you might end up playing a few missions with them and end up becoming friends.

6. You can get free 10 hour trial keys from the guild wars website. You can install guild wars on another computer using the same cd's only the key has to be different. The Client can also be downloaded from the website (www.guildwars.com, just in case).

There's no official support. Some guilds partake, but don't hold your breath.

Release date is unknown--speculated '09. No, there will be no direct character transfer.

Yes.

The engine is incredibly low-bandwidth, and the costs are supported by people buying the game.

There's the guild forums here--feel free to check down there and post. Also, when you find someone you like playing with in a mission or whatever, ask them if they have a guild that you could join, or something like that.

The only trial keys that currently exist are the ones sold with full copies of the game.

1 There isnt really any set places, just go around talk to people and find a guild that does rp etc.

2 Unknown at this time but probably will be a year an a half to 2 years away.

3 No change its still no fee

4 they havnt decided yet

5 just go around doing things with people in ur party and if u meet people u like add them to your friends list and chat to them via Pms etc.

6.You only get a set amount of guest passwords depending on ur purchases (such as buying new campaigns etc.) Anyone can download the gW client but they need either a normal account or a temporary Guest one to actually play it.

You can also get trial keys at most places that sell video games, for $1.99. These include a CD with the client and a trial key for a 10-hour/14-day trial of all three games. For instance, GameStop and Fry's Electronics both carry them out here (and many other places I'm sure, these are just the two that I noticed them at). If you want to e-mail a key to a friend, you can always buy one of these and e-mail them the key (the CD isn't required because as others have said, you can download the client from the webpage).

ETA: here's a list of places that carry the CD trials: http://www.guildwars.com/support/gam...ilogytrial.php

Thanks for answering. Should I just yell out I'm looking for a guild to join or looking for a party? or should I just run around and ask?

Here's an idea. All the CDs are about two bucks right? What if I bought a a bunch of them and left them at bus or stops, the mall, K-Mart or Walmart, or other busy places and let the curious try it?

Just a thought.

I find that just shouting "lfp!" in mission locations is usually enough to get invited into a PUG. You might get invited faster if you also advertise the kind of build you're running (example: "bonder monk lfp!")

You can Yell out if you want. Good chance someone will catch you. But if you go to the more busy Trading hubs, like Lions Arch, Ascalon City, Droknars Forge, there are people that advertise thier guild. I would reccomend looking for advertising guilds in Lions Arch or Droknars Forge as there are more higher level and experienced players there. (Lions Arch is smack bang in the middle of Prophecies, and Droknars is pretty close to the end of the game.)

Ascalon city would be filled with either new Guilds, new players, noob players, or desperate guilds. (IMHO)

I'd say its a waste of money. And you might attract the FBI or CIA or something. It might look like you are dead dropping something. But, I think you are better off just telling people about it.
