I noticed this, so thought I'd share for others...

For the tomes, you have to be one to use one. What I mean, you have to be a dervish to use a dervish tome.

Fortunately, there's a work-around... it applies also to your secondary. So if you can't use a tome, change your secondary and your good.

Just an FYI.

I kinda felt it was a little self-explanatory when I first heard about it. It wouldn't make much sense to gain a warrior skill if you a Me/E. It's cool to have things cleard up, though.

It's understood that it unlocks skills you've already unlocked. What I would like to make clear is something that caught me at first... I went to use a dervish tome I found and it told me I have to be a dervish to use it. I changed my secondary to dervish and it was fine.

Thank you, MSecorsky. I, personally, did not know this because I have not yet used a Tome. I'll keep your advice in mind if I ever nab one and decide to use it.

personally, there should be a lvl cap or a certian situation that u have to meet before using a tome. a lvl 10 in ascalon arena using searing flames is bullshit. At least thats how i guess they got it, if not, then they went through a hell of a lot of trouble....

Something else I noticed (if this was posted elsewhere, forgive me I haven't been reading the last few days) is that the drops are profession specific. Meaning, I got elite ele tome drops from ele bosses, elite dervish tome drops from dervish bosses, etc. Don't know if it was coincidence but that has been my observation so far.
