Every night, two or three devs could log on at scheduled times and fight the players. It would change up every day. One day the devs would only play paragons, and the next day only monks. These devs would be super-powered level 32's. They would have 12 slot skill bars including some of the new pve-only skills. Groups of eight people would get together, set up, and face the creators of the games themselves! This way, both the players and the devs would get to play the game in a whole different way.
Why do it? After slaying a dev, everyone in the party would get a class crest. After getting all ten crests, the player can turn them in for a new "red" armor set or weapon. Red weapons and armor are fully customizable stat-wise and feature new skins. Could there be a better way to show off then strutting your dev-slaying stuff?
Every battle would be different by class, giving the devs and players variety rather than the same boring fight. Examples:
Necromancer: The battle is in a large green cemetary. The room contains three unexploitable-by-players corpses. The necro dev posesses two level 35 flesh golems from the start of the fight, and uses these as both defense and offense. To win the players would have to kill the constantly healed flesh golems one at a time until the corpses are gone, and then bypass his/her lifestealing skills.
Paragon: Right upon entering the party faces a winged paragon with three Ancient Soldiers. These soldiers are nasty spear paragons and are level 28. The dev uses a series of strong chants and shouts to power and protect the soldiers, and all the soldiers use Angelic Bond on the dev. The party must shutdown the dev and try to eliminate all three soldiers before moving on to the big developer himself!
What do you think? As likely as getting night elves as a playable race I'm sure, but I think it'd be awesome!
