Reordering, Vote kicking, etc.

Sick of getting 90% of the way done with a mission and having one or two people leeching the rewards/bonuses while they just afk and/or cuss me out. There needs to be a kick option either for the leader, or we need a party vote kick option. Also, to prevent people from stealing their drops, I say when they get kicked, all of their item drops are given to the person who was kicked.

Also, instead of making everyone reorder to set up the party leader, or put monks on the bottom, etc, we should have a reorder option to make things easier for those people who don't understand reordering, and think they're just getting kicked from a group.

Since leeching isn't against the terms of service, there needs to be a way to handle this appropriately.

What Anet has said to this, I actually don't know, yet I am quite sure they have read it all.
Your idea is even better then what I have seen, that the one kicked gets his drops, that will prevent loot stealing, nice idea.

About your idea of a leecher, just remember to blank out names, don't start a witch hunt here or anywhere else, I find that incorrect to do and others might too.
Afterall, it's just a game, but yes, we should not have it ruined for others.

1) How do you know that a person is 100% leaching? They could be AFK for good reason.

2) Once you kick that player for good, your down by one team member! How are you going to deal with that?

I agree leaching in missions is annoying, but you have to appreciate that not everyone is AFK on purpose. They could be lagging, they could have to run to the phone, or toilet or what ever else.

It could even be that they post "AFK, brb", but no one sees it and you think their leaching. It could be you do read it, but your that inpatient, you start saying their leaching when their not.

A kick system can get abused to high-heaven.

What happens when someone says "your going the wrong way" or "thats not how you do this mission" and the leader thinks they know better and kicks them?

What happens if someone keeps dieing, and the leader decides to kick them?

What happens if the leader is just a complete moron and thinks its funny to get within 2 inches of completing a mission and kicks everyone?

A kick system could result in huge problems, unless its done properly.

If it was to be implimented, it should require everyones vote to kick someone. And once you kick someone, that player should be replaced by a Heroe of the same profession and skill set.

But I still say its too dangerous. You cant deny it wouldnt get abused. You know fine wel the kind of people you find in the game.

It'd be fine if he was just AFK for some reason at home, but...

Yeah. :P We had to put up with THAT for an hour.

Other than that, I was doing the bonus for Dragon's Lair the other day, and one guy (the leader) went AFK at the last facet, bringing 2 henchies with him, making the bonus a bitch. The second we popped in Droknar's Forge, he was like "thanks for the bonus, noobs", then left. :P

Report him!!!! Put a ticket in for him. You have full evidence that he was leaching and ruining gameplay for other players.

He will most proberbly get his account blocked.

You need to provide full time, date and location to where it happened. I expect so that Anet can check back on log entries to see the full conversation.

But most times, people arent going to admit to leaching, because they know you can screen-cap it and report them.

But if someone is that stupid then get them done.

this seems excessive i dont see the need for this really.... yes leechers suck but taht is a risk you take when you play with other people sorry but im gunna hve to /notsign this idea.... too much room for abuse and something that would further make the game less casual and full of more elitism.

If you play in PuG's you take your chances. I would rather have heroes and henchmen most of the time. I still do play in PuG's as they are normally very different. I generally don't like to lead a group and see what the other players do. I get very annoyed at cappers who DC once they get their cap. But it happens far less than having good games.

An hour? It sounds like he was just leeching from the beginning of the misson. Why didn't you resign and restart after 5 minutes? That's what I would have done rather than given that loser a free ride.

Anyways, /SIGNED. We definitely need some type of kick option that cannot be easily abused. Have it so that everyone in the party must vote to kick the offender. The kickee gets all his drops. He is not replaced with a henchie. This will help cut down on the "kick for no reason" just to get a henchie.

Have to agree with the problems of this.. It would be good to see with responsible individuals however been in lots of pugs and majority are decent, but lately there are more and more individuals out to just mess with everyone else or take advantage.. so my vote is no

People that leech are no different than those that buy gold with real money or use real money for power leveling their first character. All they care about is the end result not the journey.

Kicking is a bad idea, for abuse reasons. I can imagine it.

What if, say, you're 24/25 missions from the Protector of Tyria title - you cannot beat the bonus for one super hard mission. You want to try out hard mode, just out of boredom.

People also hate when others get a ton of good drops. Once in FoW, this guy got like 7 shards. If we had the kick command, you know what'd happen.
