With the Hard Mode, DP is something that (sometimes) may be a problem, specially in some far way areas... far away areas with no Statues with blessings. And not all places have favor always!
Teleport scrolls fix favor lack in temples, but not for this.
So, the main idea is to have a way to 'pay' to have DP reduced in such areas with no statues.
The 'MB after vanquishing idea' is really good, but may probe not enough in many areas, specially those you go thourght to get to another with no outpost, like [wiki]Dreadnought's Drift[/wiki] or [wiki]The Falls[/wiki].
1. The first choice, harder and slower, because involves changing a lot of maps, would be to add more statues in Tyria. Then you would just need to have some cash and the favor to cut the DP. Like in most Canthan and Elonian territories.
2. The second is to add 3 uncommon(purple) items, dropped by monsters, to match the blue and rare ones, but an use having to do with DP, much like some event items. This one would have the advantage of helping those who live in areas which almost never have favor.
We already have that potion that drops from Anguish chests, but... it's not something you can get almost anytime, you need to gather and hoard them or find someone who sell them.
- Elixir of Stubborness:
For 20 minutes, if you die, you will suffer no death penalty, but gain -100% XP per kill. Cannot be used in PvP.
Value: 250 gold.
(Nice to fight Rotscale, XD. Won't stop your /deaths count from increasing with each death, thought, and will not fade from your effect list if you die)
- Elixir of Comfort.
Double click to lose 5% DP. Cannot be used in PvP.
Value: 300 gold.
(Won't work if you have 0..10Mb, only REMOVES DP.)
- Minor Elixir of Valor.
Double click to gain 2% MB. Cannot be used in PvP.
Value: 350 gold.
(Will both decrease DP by 2, and increase the Mb by 2%, depending on current morale, exactly like the avatar blessing.)
Since they are more expensive than statues, favor would still be something good.
For those claiming that there are already 'event items doing that':
There are spirits and sweets you get in events, but you can also buy them; those are limited, and the less they are, the more expensive they become.

I think that the first choice would be the best.
Just because of the fact that since I've played Factions, progressing through explorable areas in Prophecies has become a nightmare for me. I hate the fact that there are no waypoints.
The idea of spending cash to reduce DP is a natural idea, and wouldn't really reduce anything from hard mode's difficulty. (Heck, there's already a morale boost option.) Plus, because of this, guilds may fight in Heroes' Ascent more, to gain favour, when favour is gained, more people will be looking for PUGs and it would boost Hard Mode's attraction further...Then again, it could also backfire so that people only play Hard Mode when there's favour.
The second choice seems very unlikely...Unless there was a trader for the items so that the price changes based on the community making them very valuable conveniences.

I like the second idea. for the reason being, there would be few changes. the potion could be in the same bottle type as rice wine. save on animation. also you might could add a potion merchant who sells these things in town. I have a tendancy to get crappy drops so would prob never get a potion other wise. Also does this cover the person or the part? I would hope party because sometimes I am guild/hero missions and areas. if its party you may make them cost more like 1k each or so.

But there won't be no neet to add potions traders, the current scroll trader could be used.
