I thought i had the way faction works all figured out. I thought i read somewhere that faction decreased 10% each day for each guild. I also figured that faction donated wasnt able to be spent.
In my alliance we had a guild with 15k faction donated and just one hour later it went down to 5k. Is there any answer to why this can happen? It isnt the first time i heard of this happening. Another guild i know has 35k faction and it dropped to 15k in less than an hour. Any help on this will be appreciated

I would assume that one of the guilds in the Alliance left....when they leave they take there factions with them.... For example there are 3 guilds in ABC alliance
All guilds have 5k factions...for an alliance total of 15k factions
guild B and C then leave ABC alliance....making guild A players only see 5k Factions for thier alliance.

that wasnt it. in one instant i spoke of there was only 1 guild with no allies. And in my instance it was not the overall faction but the faction of one of our alliances that is still there. Like they had 15k and one hour later theirs dropped to 5k.

A player left the guild could also cause this.
Or as mentioned, a guild leaving an alliance.

A player leaving would have no effect at all. Once faction is donated it can not be removed other than decay or a guild leaving the alliance.

yea. some where i thought about if a member left would his donted faction over the last few days disapear. but that cant be the case either. I eludes me to how this can happen but i have quite a few people asking for an answer so i am here.
Im guessing it was due to decay but in 1 day it shouldnt drop to 1/3 of what it used to be. Just to be sure the rate of drop each day is 10% isnt it?

Anyways I just made a post on this myself. This has been happening to my guild as well. We have no alliance we started with 171k faction this morning then I donated 10k and we dropped down to 161k instead of going up. then a couple hours later we go down again to 148k with no donation. The 161 to 148 is the daily faction drop but the 171 to 161 should not have happened. This has happened a few times. We should have over 200k faction but got glitched out of it.

My guild has been at 1 Kurzick for as long as it took for the original 5,000 we got when allying with the Kurzicks to decay. (What can I say, we don't care. 
)
Lately, for the last couple of weeks, we've been jumping back and forth between 5,001 and 1 point. When we first saw the 5,001 number, we thought one of us had (foolishly) donated, but no one admitted to it. When it then started bouncing between the 2 different numbers,we assumed there was a new bug at work. Currently, we've been at 5,001 for a few days in a row, with no overnight decay.

Mods please do something with this post like make it a real bug. I dont want this post getting lost in the mix like so many of the pointless posts. This one is actually happening and effecting peoples guild faction.
