Ive noticed that in the low level areas in hard mode the monsters will still drop items worth 3 gold.

I suggest they change these items for hard mode or to drop other things instead. They uppded the weapons but not special items (spider webs/gargoyle skulls for example). Its only fair.

I have noticed this at well and I do agree,

doesn't make sense to have a 3g drop in hard mode.

I was thinking that, actually. First thing I did when I entered hard mode was check the nearest collector - only to find they still have the same low-level crap. So yeah, new high-level stuff from the collectors, and new high-level collector loot to buy this stuff. /signed

I hadnt realised, but if its true I agree. All gold content through-out hardmode, in any location, should be worth the same value (give or take) to sell to the merchant, since the difficulty is the same in all locations now.

There is another suggestion about making trophies more important, removing them from the loot cap and such...

Other thing that could be made is to make them identificable and with variable prices, much like white items have, so you'll get around 100g from a Mursaat Token dropen by a Level 24 Jade Armor, but 1..3g from a termite leg dropped by a Level 1 termite and double or more if the trophi was dropped by a boss.

Yep, those insects on Istan still drop crappy stuff like legs and other collector junks. Then again they did drop 4 gold weapons not max dmg but max mod (20% enchant mod, 15^50,hp+30) also white dye.

I noticed this the first time i went out. This problem has existed for while(stone summit badges), and more recently with the icy lodestones after the canthan new year. It would involve them making the monsters drop different collector items in HM. Instead of charr carvings they drop burnt charr carvings or whatever. Definetely a good idea.

This and the still non-max items were the first things I noticed about hard mode drops. Agreed 100%.

Would just make solo farming in hard mode more viable as collector's drop are excluded from the loot scaling.
Just don't pick up those 3g items to save space for more valuable drops.

Umm.. Why? Because you disagree with me? Great point.
My post has a valid point. They cut down on the gold drops and increased item drops so farm bots would be less effective. If collectors drop value were increased, bot farmers would be able to make more money again.

Frankly, I think people should start thinking beyond "this bugs me" and start thinking about the affect on the game and economy as a whole before signing something.
