When I first made my guild, I did so during Wintersday. I bought my sigil for 7.5k, and instantly went and bought a guild hall. Now, I hear that sigils cost around 20k, and that to buy a guild hall, your area has to have the favor of the gods. Was I just incredibly lucky, or was it some odd aspect of Wintersday that allowed me to do all that stuff? Thanks!

Your area doesn't have to have favour. You just need a sign that you are favoured by the gods, which in this case is having a celestial sigil in your possession.

And you were lucky to get a sigil that cheap. I got mine for a similar price at around the same time. The price of sigils is determined by supply and demand, so the cost of buying one does fluctuate quite a bit.
