one time a guy PMed me and was like "why are you such an ass on guru?" i was like "when was i an ass". hes on my ignore list. i assume i told him his starburst warrior sucks or something.

I haven't gotten any Spam private messages on Guru, but I get tons of spam whispers in game from random people. Saying all kinds of weird things...

The guy calling you an ass wasn't a spammer, he was just mean.

I've had things like "cheap GW gold come to blah blah now" that looked like an automated system spamming it, so it's not unknown. Just do what Inde says and report them.

I don't know if this is what you mean but I've seen people 'plan'this in-game. They'll say "PM (insert name here) he's giving the first 5 people 10k!!!"
