Starange story.I was playing Gears Of War online and while chainsawin this one unlucky guy I had a thought. How could GW work on a Xbox 360? After reviewing the layout I rembered that the 360 will have a keyboard coming out for it soon. Of course the GUI will be diffrent and maybe smaller except the letters will be bigger ad the menus will be bigger.
So I figured get the keyboard and controler together.
Heres the layout.
Right and Left Trigger- Used to select a skill.
Right and Left Button- Weapon presets
A Button- Select/Select-Attack (Like double clicking after selecting a target)
B Button- Party Selection/Party Search
X Button-Brings up a 2 map icons one for regular and one for mission map.Just use the X button to select one.
Y Button- Hold down to Bring up Emote Menu/Jump
Left Control Stick-Control caracter/Hold down A to turn it into a mouse
Right Contol Stick-Camera.Click it to turn around your character.
Up,Down,Left,Right-Inventory/Option selection/Enemy selection
Keyboard-Regular GW1 Keyboard Controls
Naturally the interface will be diffrent so when you run up to some one in town you are given friend, trade and pm options.
Is it even possible?
GW2 For console?

Not exactly. You know about the Halo2 and Vista merge?
Halo2 For vista can work with Halo2 on the console over live.
Sounds wierd.

The Control system is going to be significantly changed (in particular mouse movement in the form "click to move" will be removed from the game), however target locking will still function. Guild Wars 2 will introduce a Z-axis to the game which will allow characters to jump over obstacles. Actions which have characters interacting with the environment, such as sliding, climbing trees and swimming will also be introduced. The skill system will be modified. There will be fewer, less complex skills which may behave differently in different situations, such as if the character is jumping or is surrounded by monsters. |

Also, if ANET keeps the same battle system with the 8 skills to choose from, how are you going to be able to choose which skill to use without taking forever? Especially if you are playing as a monk? using the trigger buttons would classify as the taking forever because you would never know which skill would need to be used at which time. You can make an educated guess but their monk could have condition/hex removal and that would ruin your chain of attacks that you would expect to cast and then improvising would put your team at a disadvantage.
the only way i can see it working is to force people to use a keyboard and then you might as well use your pc instead. also, as i stated before, not all xbox 360s have hard drives so it would have to be on the ps3 which does.
p.s. the reason it will work with halo is because it is a fps. move shoot, move shoot. dont have to choose skills just "pull" the trigger on your gun and keep going.

wetparks playstations FFXI can do it why can't it be done with GW.I believe someone had wondered a similiar thing about 2 weeks ago on whether or not ANet and NCSoft might try to port over GW to a console system.
The other forum thread
Is it do-able? Yes
is it practical? No
Will they probably do it? Probably not

Shadowrun is coming out in a while, and that will be the first game ever to allow console and PC gamers to play against each other. Its in the same PC Gamer magaizine as the GW2 annoucnement if you guys care to read about it.
Unfortunately... its a shooter.
Anyway, yeah not going to happen, simply because MS would charge a monthly fee for X-Box live gold membership, which would go against a.net's whole marketing campaign.
