Hi all,
I've got a problem.
Someone of a party I left Pre-searing Ascalon with already completed the Gwen quest. So when I wanted to give her a cape and flute, she already had it and wouldn't accept it.
So I took her for a walk and gave her all the Red Irish Flowers I could find (approx. 30), it didn't help.
The only thing she says all the time is that it's great for her collection.
What to do? I only want that 'Tapestry Shred' before I continue to Post-searing.
b.t.w., can I accept the shred from other users, or transfer it from one of my characters to another?

Leave the area (eg. go back in Ascalon City) and return to her, see if she has the cape and flute if not buy them for her, and them simply give her more flowers, after so many she will like u enough to give u the shred. Yes u can transfer the shred between players.
If you really cant get one from the above method (if Gwen is glitched etc.) PM me in game later on and ill get one for u.

But whatever I do, she still has that cape and the flute with her.
To get those 30 flowers, I already have entered and left Ascalon City, and the Abby numerous times. So that's not the solution, I'm afraid.
And... I'm a real n00b (just started GW this weekend for the first time), so maybe you can tell me how I can PM you in a game?

Won't work
If she is wearing the cape, the game considers the quest completed for your character.
If you join with anyone who has completed that quest, she will already have the cape and will not give you the tapestry. In fact, even if that other person themselves has not completed the quest but had previously joined with another person who had done so, the quest will still be bugged for you.
This has never been a big deal before as the tapestry has no use at present - but with GW:EN coming out, who knows?
That is why I never offer to party with anyone looking for the res sig quest - it would prevent them from getting the tapestry.

Well uve seen your chat window right. (press Enter if not) press on the very right hand one which is the PM(Personal Message) one, Then type in the name of the person u wish to message (The Exact name) in the left little box and the message u want to send in the right hand box. Pressing Enter will send the message (a copy of it will appear in our chat window to show u its been sent).
Alternativly if u get up your friends list (Press N i beleive) then add in a persons name into the field under add friend. u can see if they are online or offline and if they are on another character. You can then press the little head next to there name where it gives u options. One of these options is Send personal message. It will then auto fill in the name of the person u wish to send the message to and u just type the message like before)
It sounds kinda complex but ive very easy to work out all it takes it a few minutes exploration of the chat window and/or friend window.
U can also remove names from the friend window once uve finally managed to meet them online and dont need to meet them again.

Last time Gwen just take Cape from my char, but not give tapestry.

I now have a Tapestry Shed, that thing that serves no purpose.
It would be nice if the developers fixed that glitch in the quest.
But I just couln't leave pre-searing without, because no-one knows if, when and how this thing will be useful.
I'm a David Lynch fan, I just LOVE mysteries.
