How do you use Heros in Prophecies Missions?

I've read several posts about a certain mission I'm having difficulties with in Prophecies and they all indicate using the Hero's.

My question is how? The Hero's aren't available beside the henchies it's just the normal Henchies standing there.

How do I get Hero's to prophecies?

You have to play nightfall on the character you want heroes on.

You mean just get my character to nightfall then just bounce back or play through?

You have to do the necessary quests in order to unlock the heroes on a certain character. So you'll have to bring your character to NF and do a quest or two there and you'll have the starting heroes. But they won't be level 20.

Then you can bring them back to Proph with you. They'll be in a drop-down menu under your character's name in the party window. You can only use three at a time.
