Here's a Hammer W/N that's a lot of fun:

It's a variant of the basic devastating hammer warrior. Heavy blow can be swapped with hammer bash, fierce blow, mighty blow, etc depending on preference.
I like strip enchantment (rend works very nice too but is riskier) as it is a great way to set up your spike. Placing it on the warrior bar is for less organised play (e.g you aren't using vent/ts to call your spike and have your mesmer shatter enchantments).
