Question about New tier of minipets

OK so people got the 2nd tier of minipets for turning 2. I'm wondering if Factions characters turning 1 will get the 2nd tier or 1st tier? Common sense would say 1st tier but I'm not too sure, because my assassin will turn 1 by the latest next weekend.

they will get the 1st lot of mini pets not the newer ones

Yeah any character that turns 1 year will get the first lot of minipets. It's been announced on the GW website on the second birthday celebration announcement page.
