I have noticed that alot of people are annoyed that the new bonus items cannot be modded, especially since items in the Million copy edition only have 1 mod. I have read that this is due to people salvaging the mod's off the items and selling them.
Here is what i propose with the items:
1. As it is now the weapons are already custiomized to the player so they cannot sell the item for free profit.
2. The weapons have no mods on them, so nothing to salvage, but they can be moddable.
3. possibly inscribable, i'm not so sure about this, or an iherient 15^50 mod for weapons and 20hrt for casting items.

I like the skins of many of the items such as the soulreaper, but it is quite annoying that i can't mod the item to create something i like.
I don't know whether to have an inscribalbe weapon as this will make it harder to create a perfect weapon, but some of the pre-fixed bonuses are worthless ie. 15^50 on caster weapons.

I think bonus items are not a good idea, giving a level 1 char a maximum damage weapon makes the other weapons found in the game look like drek and you wonder at the stupid reward items as you progress through the game. The bonus items for prophecies are easily replaced by collector weapons. It is certainly one of the areas of the game that I found disappointing. That and low level chests where you make more money selling the keys than the lousy items. It would be nice if all weapons could have their inscriptions changed but history often defeats modification.
