I have, to my utter dismay, discovered that a title track that is already damned hard to max, and until recently only been able to be worked on for limited times and costs a huge fortune has been screwed.

Up until very recently the Lucky title track had a maximum level of 1 million. Now with the intro of earning 250 points IF you retain your lockpicks, this max title has been bumped up to..... 2.5 MILLION!!!

A hellovalot of people have invested time and huge amounts of ingame money, not counting all the other events missed out to do this title over the past year and the dev team see's fit to slap us in the face with this.

1 million was hard enough even if we had the lockpick 250 points from the start. But now it's clear to me that to max this title is plain not possible. Because whenever people will start to reach the 2.5 million mark, anet will just add yet another title and bump it up to 5 million.

So what's the point, and what a waste of time and money trying to attain a max title that will never be.

Well...I think that 2.5m would be the highest since well, they had the 1 million in there when lockpicks weren't in. Now that you have an alternate method of getting your title track up...

Also, how does Golden look like the end of a title track? Blessed by Fate looks a lot more like an ending ANet would use =P

...oh yeah, afking isn't hard to do...just thought I'd point that out.

I never said afking was hard. What annoys me is that the time spent being afk could have been spent on the other activities instead. plus it's not cheap it also prevents you from playing as normal and to have the goal shift so radically... well does the term "carrot on a stick" mean anything to you?

Screw how pretty the titles sound. If they have stated that golden is the max title, they should honor it. Not change it at the last second. It's pathetic. While ppl are spending tons to stand in circles they coulda done other activities instead. We chose to do this originally with the idea that 1 million may be hard to achieve but it WAS attainable and worth it. We have invested a lot of time and money and sacrificed a lot of opertunities for this thrice damned title.

And about the lockpick issue... well when the % of times they break far outweighs the amount of times they dont and with them costing 1.5k a pop too... and only getting 250 points per successful retain... more than doubling the max title is way not justified.

since it is an account based title I doubt it will ever be maxable.

As Pkest said, its not going to be maxable. There is probablly ANOTHER title past Blessed by Fate (and I believe one has already been seen on the test server).
Don't complain about "how all these people put so much effort into this." You got exactly what you wanted, your super "l33t" afk title that shows you spent a lot of money. A.net didn't decieve you. You didn't suddenly lose your golden title. Its still there and still pretty ridiculous.


A.net NEVER said golden was the max title. People just assumed it was because nobody had reached it yet and seen the next tier to it.
