GW2 - and Guilds

Perhaps I am really looking ahead, and i'm sure no one knows 100% either way the answer. But I've heard conflicting reports.

1.Will GW:EN be compatible with current guilds, meaning I'll still have my same guild, same roster, etc.

2. Will GW2 Be compatible with it, same as above. I've heard people say that Guilds will not transfer over to GW2, So I'd have to remake it, reinvite the players, and spends lots of money.

Can anyone give their best prediction on what will happen with the Guilds?

No way of knowing dude. As far as ive heard, gw and gw2 will not be directly linked, so id assume it'll be a case of re-forming the guild and just carrying on from there.

That sux. The more I hear about GW2, the less I like about it.

Yeah- I doubt the guilds will carry over to GW2. We already know that characters can't be transferred over (besides titles and stuff throught the hall of heroes), so guilds are probably unlikely. But... I heard something about character's names being reserved for those that want to keep them- so I wouldn't be suprised to see the reserving the names of our current guilds (at least for a certain amount of time) so that we can use them again.

yes gw:en will keep current guilds. gw2 will probably not.

I know no one knows, and I'm willing to bet, even the designers don't know for sure yet. I just don't see why they not would transfer guilds over. Soo many friendships, and all that time would be broken and wasted. (for those who do not buy the game) and then if officers on GW 1 Come to GW 2 like 3 months after release, well then they would want to be officers - but then you just demote your current officers?

Ok I'm thinking WAY to far ahead, but you get the idea?
