I've been playing Prophecies for 17 months, and I'm thinking of buying either Factions or Nightfall.
I played the Nightfall preview and I really enjoyed the Dervish profession, as well as the heroes feature and the environment of Istan.
However, I know next to nothing about Factions aside from the addition of the Assassin and Ritualist professions.
Any suggestions?

Factions is very different and i hated it.
i am PVE since early beta and bought Factions.
after trying it a bit i went back to Prophecies until Nightfall came out and have had a lot of fun with Nightfall and dont forget the heroes.

I much preferred Factions to Nightfall. I'm not sure what it is but i get the feeling that there's something missing in NF.

Nightfall, no question.
Access to heros, inscribable weapons, much, much better story, no horrid city to deal with, missions are more interesting & fun, more open spaces, and no matter where you go, you won't find an NPC who will deny you service like you'll find in factions.

My favorite was Factions, but maybe because thats the only one I actually beat =p
