bots in granite citadel

is someone going to ban the bots in granite citadel or you waiting till they got there pockets filled.
bot:
- name doesnt mean anything
- no guild
- dont answer / status offline
- they come in outpost, go merchant, double click flag next to portal stay there for 10 seconds then go in portal

are they gonna do something about it this minute or should i just download keygen (yes my security friends that also excists now) and get a bot, first link google, kthxbai

the no guild part isnt always the case however.
Ive seen many bots with guild tags.
But I do agree they need to be dealt with.

They've been there for a very long time. Now with HM and loot scaling they seem to be popping up more and more in lots of places.

It should be noted that not all farmers in these areas are bots however.

Yeah, I saw them last night in Granite Citadel, about 20 of them. Got a screenshot.

NC-Soft don't want anything done to the bots, so live with it

I think they do ban them sometimes, but what's to keep them from coming back again? Large scale bans are hard to do, because there are actual players there too. Bot farmers can also just get new accounts or bots whenever an older one gets banned.

I'm pretty sure they ban people every now and then, since I remember seeing some posts in these forums where people complained that they were accidentally banned for farming. So... people complain when Anet doesn't do anything, and people complain when they do something. Not a nice situation.

And it wouldn't be profitable to hire someone to watch over Granite Citadel every single hour of every single day if they wanted to really keep it clean. The bots would just move elsewhere for a while if it became too risky to farm in that outpost.

You need more evidence then that - other than a guild tag (and there are bots that have them as a "disguise") and I do not farm from granite citadel I will sometimes fit your mold there and I am not a bot. There have been times in the past where I *did* farm where botters go.

They ban them when they get enough evidence to be fairly sure (even then, it's fairly common to have forums posts "I've been banned" where they were wrong - in fact there is one on the front page along with this post), the botters go purchase a new account, and now you see a different one there.

Most of them are probably bots, some aren't, and while it may make sense to you to just ban 'em all and let god sort em out that typically is a worse business decision than what they are currently doing.

Granite Citadel isn't the only place you will find 'bots'. Go to Bergen Hot Springs. It looks like a 'Monk Convention', a continuios flow in and out. I had dropped off a passenger from a Ascalon to Hot Springs run, and counted 17 monks run past me and out the gate. I saw a minimum of 30 other monks still in the outpost. It's no wonder you can't find a healer when you need one, they are all farming.

they dont buy accounts, there are WORKING keygen's going around atm. they just generate account lvl monk in 2 hours but put bot on and gogo , then they make another account and do same , these companys have like 100 bots farming of them at same time ^^

Don't post ways to get 3rd party programs on Guru either, last time I checked that was against the rules.

Anet deals with the bots, if they didn't there would be way more of them running around. If you aren't a bot then you shouldn't worry, you don't need to worry about what they do or how they do it just don't bot and you should be fine.
