Phew! NoChance, you gave me a start there. At first I thought you were claiming that players had really left the game in a snit. But, just so everyone knows it, the opposite is true. Player numbers are up since the update that introduced Hard Mode and made other game changes. We have more people playing Guild Wars, and they are playing more hours.

A few more facts: Gold is now substantially more expensive to buy in RL cash. Prices within the game currency are dropping, making more things affordable to players. The average player is making more from playing. And yep, we're dealing with bots and sales-spammers regularly, too.

Things are going well.

Well here it is folks gaile grey telling us that everything is A ok here at guild wars.

Well i for one say good luck to the people that now enjoy guild wars due to the major recent changes.

But as for myself i think anet have dropped the bomb big time here with there loot changes and hard mode.

Now i know overall all the solo farmers in the past have drove prices up, somethings most will never get, but now or soon everything will cost the same and there will be nothing really left to obtain or anything worth bothering to obtain.

So all those nice 15k armours and all those expensive once rare items/weapons will no longer be any good as everyone will have them. so that omg, wow wheres that armour from its cool will vanish from the game
Well basically that status symbol side of the game will dissappear
I mean i know this is only a game but if u equate it to real life wed all be driving around in ferraris and the like with mansions and butlers right.

Well before u all have a go saying ah hes upset blah blah they nerfed the solo yes your right and after spending out £100 real money on the gws campaigns i`m entitled to my opinion.( BTW THEY WAITED TILL 3 CAMPAIGNS TO CHANGE LOOT SYSTEM) how many of us would have purchased the further campaigns had they implemented recent changes earlier, i for one would not have.

After playing for nearly 2 years( nearly every single day) i`m gonna start looking for another/other games to play .
Don`t get me wrong i have a love affair with guild wars that cuts deep so i will still play it but nowhere near as much.
And i wont be buying anymore updates/expansions if i fall in love with another game will i

I don't get it...

I don't understand how changing the loot system actually makes the game LESS fun. It doesn't affect the gameplay at all. So what if the rarer items and armor are affordable by a wider range of players? Do you REALLY care so much about not being able to stroke your ego as often as you'd like that you'd rather play another game?

I really don't get it.

Right i have 8 chars all have everyone of there elite/normal skills etc, all have fin game all 3 campaigns so why on earth would i wanna go do them all again spending hours to find good pugs etccccc

Anyway sorry for ranting Basically i had got bored with guild wars so i spent majority of my time farming THIS IS ONLY MY PERSONAL OPINON this was the way i loved playing the game (my choice)
Now for me theres no fun left in farming thats all so i was just saying that really gws doesnt have alot to offer me Personally anymore thats all

It's rather simple - this is just another "Oh no, not loot scaling!" thread.

It's one of the lowest, most miserable, petty, and pathetic (Did I mention EVIL?) mindsets that a human being can have.

Only appreciating something only because it makes you "better, "richer", or more "special" than someone who doesn't have it can't be condoned as moral or decent by any rational person.

Oh, sure, I don't expect anyone to stop having this attitude, but in turn, don't you expect anyone who thinks about anything other than their own personal gratification (i.e. has a soul) to show sympathy.

How in the HELL would it hurt anyone if everyone in real life could have a mansion and a Ferrari?

I, for one, would feel blessed and honored to live in a world where physical comforts were taken for granted, and people could focus on what really matters.

In a video game? I have way better things to do than to fret about an entirely artificial class structure, thanks.

Get things in-game because YOU want them, not because other people will see you and wish THEY could have it.
